Do you really think that the new bill will better support illegal immigration? Believe me when I say the government has a trick up it's sleeve. Somewhere in that bill is going to be a trick to make these people have to go home. Just wait and see. The government will not stand around to let a third world country like "Mexico" come and take over as the majority! Just wait & see... this is just a trap to get them to finally go home & then shut the borders tight! If that's not it... then it's something else!!! I can't wait to find out the outcome of it all!!! Please... Don't try to play the race card, because I am a Black American citizen... not White!!!

I have been neutral up until today. We need to secure our borders and focus on Americans.
This war will never end. We are dealing with a country that has always been at war and will continue to be. We cannot change history to our liking. We live, breathe and think differently..
Both generations of the Bush family are involved in natural resources. But involved for their benefit and not ours.. This is all about oil isn't it? On the surface no, but break it all the way down and take a closer look. We need to leave the foreigners alone. He is stubborn, greedy, and doesn't know himself how to get out of a losing situation.. He is a control freak. Congress will have to yank our troops out and impeach Bush. HE isn't going to budge and time will either run out, and the next President comes in for us to see our troops back home.. My heart goes out to every person and family who has lost a loved one.. God Bless America.

I think the main reason people come here illegally is that their own countries are suffering economically. Granted the US has messed up Mexico and other S. American countries with suppporting dictatorships and human rights abusing govt's. But if we can fix their countires it would slow down illegal immigration.

My son is home from his first school in the Airforce. We are in SC and his first duty station is in Montanta. He has to pay for his travel there, where he will be reimbursed by the Airforce.

We have been looking on-line for inexpensive airline tickets, but are unable to find any below $597.44 one way.

Does anyone know anything about flights for the military, or a site to find "cheap" tickets at the last minute?

Because I hate Bush, I want higher taxes on the rich and tax cuts for the middle class and the poor, I hate our foreign policy, and I want the death penalty to be abolished.

I am Pro Choice, due to overpopulation.
I am for the death penalty for certain types of sex crimes and cold blooded murder.
I am against Racism.
I am against illegal immigration.
I do not have a favorable opionion of the state of Isreal.
I'm against war except in cases of self defense.
The troops must be brought home.
I do not trust Electronic voting as it is too easy for tampering.
Democrats and Republicans are two sides to the same coin.

Presidents under my viewpoint would be brought under a mandotory recall election every year. No one would run against the president. If 85 percent of the American people approve of the president being removed from office, than automatic impeachment statutes would be introduced against the president to be voted on by congress.

Clifton, Va.: Warren, my wife and I are considering a minivan in the near future. I like the idea of the Mazda5--truly a "mini" van--but saw that it's basically a Mazda3 with more seats and more metal. How woefully underpowered is the 5?

Warren Brown: Ah, Clifton, what do you mean by "underpowered"? For many people, the 153-hp offered by the Mazda5 is quite enough. For others, it isn't. Again, you can go to hell or to jail in a 153-hp vehicle just as fast as you can get to either one of those places in something with more horsepower. My thing is this: Horsepower should be taxed. The more you get, the more you pay. That seems fair to me in a world where only a few of us, mostly in military uniform, are paying dearly to secure oil for the horsepower the rest of us want. Or, is it that you accept the myth that we're fighting for "freedom" in Iraq?

WTH!

in a US that seems so divided to me ... could I be a moderate?

does democrat or republican really mean anything anymore?

what do we need to be less divided (at least outwardly) as a country?

and what are the chances we will get a moderate president in the next election?

... feel free to answer any of my questions or just comment if you like

hard to comprehend how some people in America believe that 9-11 was an inside job. How could they believe that the American government would kill its own citizens and/or destroy its own buildings?. Are these conpsiracy theorists nut cases or ...?.

It seems not.
http://www.galluppoll.com/content/?ci=27307

I find the following excerpt especially interesting:
According to the mid-April USA Today/Gallup poll, only 12% of Americans believe the United States has made progress in dealing with illegal immigration in the past year. The rest are divided between those perceiving no change and those saying the country has lost ground.

Now that progress is being made, many Americans are whining.
WHAT DO YOU WANT?
