Seems our Government feels the average person is unable to decide for themselves. First there was a ban on pesticides, then the old light bulbs and now some brainchild wants to ban toilets that use too much water. While I go along with the removal of all of the above, instead of passing a law banning everything, why not simply take these items off the shelf. If the public cannot buy something, they will purchase a newer type. Makes too much sense I guess. I notice no one has suggested banning V8 motors. I can't buy a light bulb, spray my lawn or flush a toilet but I can buy a monster SUV and pollute the air along with thousands of other drivers. It's all about grand standing, getting votes and having rich people tell us how to save the planet.

If you are inclined to put the word "socialized" in your response, don't bother answering. Thanks. Doctors would continue to be self-employed. They would not work for the government. You could choose your doctor. Nobody would make that decision for you. No, it would not be more expensive. Besides, we could always divert money from the bloated defense budget.

They say US can't leave or there'll be a genocide. They ask every country to waive their debt. They plege UN involvement....

Their people are paying all the price at the market place but those government officers don't feel a sense of urgency! They blame each other and insist to take 2 months' vacation.

I don't see any sign of diginity, courage, bravery, selflessness in those people. Why Bush or anybody ever has faith in these spineless and weak politians who will never make things happen??

People in here always talk of privatization, but if there is one thing that we Americans should realize is that "Private" doesn't mean what it used to... it generally means price fixing and market control.. Socialized medicine is the obvious answer ..problem is in socialist countries people wait ridiculous time for important tests and procedures.. I have a friend in North Ireland, you have to wait 12 months for an MRI even if it's an Emergency, much the same In Holland, Sweden Canada..
but is that a bad policy or bad management? I think if you look you will see that there is a stagnation in these places that could easily be addressed ."IF" someone wanted to

The Iraq War like the Vietnam War has been an opportunity to learn by experience, but the American people obviously did not learn the many lessions during or after Vietnam. Are we going to learn anything about war this time? Or are we going to attack some other Country in the next decade and blow another trillon dollars, thousands of our youth and sap our confidence to the bone again.
The question then becomes, how many times can we lose a trillion dollars and still be a whealthy Country? However maybe it is just better to loss some or all of our wealth if we can not learn how to us it for peace and progress.

If you were given the chance to make up three new laws-preferably in the UK, then what would they be. Also they have to be sensible-and benefit all, not just yourself. Thanks!

Am i a liberal or am i a conservative?
I want to support our boys out there and i don't want them dying or killing for that matter, but i don't agree with why our leaders sent them there.
I don't agree with abortion at any stage of the pregnancy
I don't agree with homosexuality, but i don't think it's up to me or my fellow citizens to decide whether it's right or wrong.
I strongly belief in God, but i don't want to impose my believes on anyone.
I strongly belief in the statement- "i may not belief in what you have to say, but i'll defend unto death for your right to say it"
I belief that the constitution is the greatest achievement of mankind, and i hate anyone that misuses it.
I belief that the perfect government that we had is not working, checks and balances are not happening as they should.
I do not belief my vote counts anymore, if i wanted anything done i should join a lobby group.
I belief in immigration and general amnesty, but border control too
So what am i?
