Seems our Government feels the average person is unable to decide for themselves. First there was a ban on pesticides, then the old light bulbs and now some brainchild wants to ban toilets that use too much water. While I go along with the removal of all of the above, instead of passing a law banning everything, why not simply take these items off the shelf. If the public cannot buy something, they will purchase a newer type. Makes too much sense I guess. I notice no one has suggested banning V8 motors. I can't buy a light bulb, spray my lawn or flush a toilet but I can buy a monster SUV and pollute the air along with thousands of other drivers. It's all about grand standing, getting votes and having rich people tell us how to save the planet.

Toilets that use too much water have been abanned for several years. There is no ban on pesticides or we would not be able to buy them. There was a ban on DDT, however. And we can still buy regular light bulbs. You are overreacting.
