bush has made it absolutely clear that he hates the troops.

he actually vetoed a bill to END THE WAR

Can you believe this?

Well shouldnt the Democratic Majority reduce fuinding which will ensure the safe return of our American Soldiers fighting a war based on lies on both sides and more particularly the repulicans and bush?

PS: WE lost this war. What part of this is so hard for republican extremsit to understand and comprehend?

the republican post war had NO PLAN

The republican PRE WAR was all lies

I pray for our troops to return home safely to their families. I pray for those who have lost a loved one in this unjust war and those who have been wounded. We Democrats tried to return you and end this war but republican extremist said " NO WAY!"

If the government simply pays a private for-profit enterprise to provide a government service doesn't their profit motive dictate the quality and quantity of service rather than the need and rights of the citizens recipients?

When you elect anti-government people like the GOP to run the government what do you expect them to do but dismantle the government?

Until I looked at some of the responses on Y Answers and other boards, I didn't realize the amount of people that DON'T like Hillary Clinton. I was just wondering how many of you hope that she becomes the next president and think she'll be a great candidate?

Shock of the Day: Bush Interior Department appointee resigns rather than face an oversight committee hearing next week. It's Julie MacDonald, deputy assistant secretary for fish, wildlife and parks at Interior. For your reference, she's the one who, in addition to sharing government reports with industry lobbyists, also shared confidential Interior Department documents with a "virtual friend" she met on an internet chat site. MacDonald reportedly commisserated with said "virtual friend" whose opinions she trusted over those of government scientists.

I love how they all think Fox news is so slanted one way and that the decades old lib media is..... what... balanced? What a joke! Just because Fox News ratings crush their little lib stations to a pulp on a nightly basis they now feel threatened. Have they EVER sat back and wondered why Fox News and Radio Talk shows do so well? Could it be because the majority of the public is tired of the biased opinions... not facts mind you... opinions of the lib media? That would be why they want the "fairness doctrine". That is code for affirmative action in freedom of speech.... "we can't compete in the arena of ideas... too many people listen to the radio and not to us anymore.... boo hoo... lets try and pass a bill that will hand us success rather than working for it... or stiffle the free speach of those we don't agree with". It would be laughable if it was not sooooo sad.

The extreme rants and hypocritical action of this man is something else. do as I say, not as I do. The fact is yes the earth has warmed less than 1 degree over the past century. Recorded history proves the earth does go through cooling and heating cycles. The average person would and does respond better to just a simple bit of common sence. Is it better for all to just use less? of cource. Is it not better to have less crap in the air, well unless you like the taste of smog then of cource. Wouldn't america be better off if we were not so dependant on oil...well da!!! so instead of blaming why not just use less. Carbon offsets are a proven fraud. lets make real choices that have real benifets.

I ask this out of half curiosity/half pointedness.

How do you deal with people who are dying who would otherwise benefit from stem cell research? Do you feel responsible for their deaths?

I ask because it seems delusional to say "we should NEVER kill anyone." Wel, we are killing in Iraq right now. Being honest is a virtue also, yet people lie because inconsequential lies allow tolerance. My point is, finding a middle ground, no matter how hard it is to agree upon, is better than the extremes IF ONLY the agreed upon matter maximizes the most interests.

Do you understand the difference between Benchmarks and Accountability versus Cut and Run or Surrender?
Mainly the Democrats and some Republicans want benchmarks set for the Iraqi.Along with accountability for the funds we give them.Somehow in the political mayhem this has been twisted to cut and run.Do you think we should have benchmarks and accountability?

Because, timetable to withdraw from Iraq, is supporting to take out of harm way our troops. Obviously the oil companies want our troops to guard their oil fields in iraq at the blood cost of our children, thus, Bush was ordered to veto the bill by the oil conglomerate.

OK, my dad got a jury duty (state of California). He's got all the requirements but we're not sure about him being a citizen of the US. He is from Europe, has a working VISA, lived here for over 2 years, has a social security number and speaks english on a proficient level. Can someone tell me and hopefully give me a website where it states the requirments of a foreign person becoming a citizen? You'll be a really good help!

Borrowing money enables the government to spend more in the present without having to make up the differance until years later. Why do you think that for many years poloticians found it easier to borrow money than to cut the deficit?

Why or why not?
Hi there. For your information this topic has come up in the Australian media, with accusations made that the deputy opposition leader is unqualified to lead the country because she doesn't have children and therefore would not understand the broader community.
I also had a friend running for mayor who encountered a similar accusation.
To those who are local, I just want to throw out one name... Bob Carr! (Former NSW Premier, hugely successful, no kids)

Bush just vetoed that bill because it would be "setting a deadline for failure."

Redpublicans, now I'm just confused, didn't win the war (mission accomplished) four years ago, as announced by Mr.Bush himself? Aboard an aircraft carrier no less. Wow, what a macho dude....so arrogant....

So Why are we still in Iraq? I thought we had won four yrs. ago right?
