Just as there is a "motion for a change of venue" and a "motion to dismiss" a case altogether, is there also a specific name for a motion to change judges?
Thank you, Henrietta

Also, under a motion to recuse, the challenged judge rules on the challenge of impartiality (Berger v. United States, 255 U.S. 22). Be very cautious upon this motion.

Depends. There can be a motion for recusal. Other than that, you can file a criminal suit against the judge if he has been stealing money or something like that. You can file a civil suit for racist behavior, too.

Well people have already answered this questions. It is called asking a judge to recuse him/herself. Its also called pissing off the judge and getting your *** kicked later down the line. Judges are people too. They hold grudges and make not mistake about that.

They ask the judge to "recuse" himself or herself from the case and state on what grounds they think it's appropriate.
