Let me break this Q down as quick and easy as possible. A HUGE amount of Americans seem to be upset about the illegal aliens thing right? We have been since prop 187, so here lies the Q America/Yahoo...We are either left or right, elephant or donkey. For gay or not for gays, abortion or no abortion. I get that, but one thing we seem to be on the same page is...NO TO ILLEGALS. So my Q is, why havent you voted out the liars and fakes, and put in the correct people who would take care of this problem. A name that comes to mind Pat Buchanan, now Im reading about some guy named Tancredo...I may not like EVERYTHING these guys stand for, but the one thing I think NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED, is the illegal immigrant problem and securing our borders and so do these guys. Do you get what Im going for here? Vote for someone who will actually make a difference the next time around, let that person secure our land, and THEN worry about personal matters.

I'm being serious. What is a good solution? A lottery? Bribery? Threats? What citizen would not want to get their lazy butt out of the house and vote for which leader is going to lead their country? Any solutions? Maybe tell me why you personally don't vote?

Ok I GOT IT !!!! But we have over 12 million ILLEGAL immigrants just from Mexico.Now seriously how would you SEND that many people back?Why not get them TEMPORARY work visa's and out in the open so they CAN contribute to all the programs some of you claim they use.Yes I do help them get tax ID's and it's all on the up and up.Mexican birth certificate and all.Right now the way things stand we don't have documentation on many of them.So if they want to be criminals all they have to do is melt into the woodwork.If they were given documentation our laws regarding arrest and deportation would change too.Bush actually has a good policy he is trying to implement.It protects Americans and helps with immigration.My other question tried to point out that most illegals are just trying to blend in and make a living.I can see from some responses it wouldn't matter if they were legal or not.But most only seem to have a problem with the illegal.Those people I can understand.Bush reform is ok with you

Why do they feel that this statement, "because I hate Bush", is credible as support for any garbage that they spew out of thier mouths? I'm not interested in any name calling. If that's all your going to do then just don't respond. I honestly feel that liberalism is a mental disorder and not a character flaw. But if all you are going to do is rant and call myself or anyone who answers this question names then I don't want to hear from you. If you have a legitimate reply to the question then by all means express it.

I'm really sick and tired of watching tv and seeing all of these so called conservatives trying to push their agenda on everyone. They think that they have the only voice that counts. They always talk about what they will do for the country, but yet all they can do is get us into unnecessary wars and drive up healthcare costs and the national debt. People like Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly should just put a lock on their mouths and don't let everyone know how stupid they sound. If you've ever watched the news, you know that we have had 100's of different reasons to attack other countries, and all they try to do is defend it. But they will just leave the country's mess to the next administration and Congress. They are simply NASCAR loving, baseball loving, hunting loving, anti abortion bull**** loving rednecks that think they control everyone. Wow! Pro death penalty, but want to protect the "unborn child". Not even a human for the first few months anyway. I miss Clinton!!

I took out a loan to replace my furnace when the old furnace went bad. I was paying off my loan when I lost my job due to lack of work and I am unable to make payments as agreed. I offered to make and have been making smaller payments and made the creditor aware I am selling my home to pay them and the mortgage both in full. They threatened to sue me but today I got a letter from the branch threatening to do the suing, saying I had been approved to borrow additional monies with no payments for two months. There are only 5 people in that office and they are computerized and can look up my account before they make these offers. I replied in writing with a payment for May declining the loan offer but thanking them for accepting my offer to make smaller payments by offering to lend me more money. Since they offered to make me another loan in writing knowing I could only pay partially, are they legally bound to accept the smaller payment on my current loan?

I live in SF and moved out of a place with a $2,000 security deposit after one year. We cleaned extensively and lived very lightly. They claimed in a letter that the place was in deplorable condition and will keep the 2 grand and invoice us for additional costs. their claims are true fiction. what do I do?

I'm in the U.S. Army and I recently found out I am pregnant with my first child. I am still with the father, but he is leaving to Ft. Campbell, which leaves me here in Germany. My MOS (sadly, we dont have alot of places we can get station at.) I am new at this parenthood. I really want to know what options I have before I take another step in my life ( I guess you can say it like that.) P.S. the father doesnt want to be here, he hates germany more than me.

There are plenty of societies around the world that are not christian (Japan for example) and are quite moral regardless.

I don't believe you need religion at all to be moral. Animals from lions to killer whales for the most part don't kill their young. They take care of them. You will find exceptions, but then again you also find them in humanity. Pack animals like lions, chimpanzees, bison, wolves, etc do not kill their fellow pack animals. They work as a team because that's how they learned to survive, as a team. You will also find animals that mate for life. Animals don't have religion and yet they follow a fundamental set of rules common in their species.

What; Oh What is it going to take for President Bush to realize that Democrats in Congress are not doing what they want to do but what WE ELECTED THEM TO DO!!!!!? We reached the goal of crushing Saddam Hussein's military and his government. But if our goal since then has been to make Iraq into a well ordered democracy, then we are failing misirably at that. Almost everyone - even those who still support the war - say that it is not going well.

Now we are sersiously considering withdrawing our troops from Iraq. Clearly, the democrats want this. Many republicans do too.

If we leave now, we certainly leave with a failed mission.

What would the consequences of that failure be?

What would be the consequences be for the U.S.? For the future of American foreign policy?

What would be the conseqeunces for Iraq? For the region?

There is a lot to think about here before we make any decision.

This is in reply to cons who keep bringing this "absolute morality" versus "relative morality" argument. This one con brought up the fact that liberals thought Clinton have an affair was ok but that we couldn't wait to attack a conservative who did the same.

First of all, he got this wrong. Liberals don't think cheating is ok. We think impeaching a president for lying over a ******* (instead of misleading the nation on Iraq) is a mistake. Newt Gingrich, conservative Republican, was leading the Clinton witchhunt. It turns out Gingrich was cheating on his wife while at the same time criticizing Clinton for the same thing. That is HYPOCRACY. Of course, liberals are going to make a big deal out of it.
