It is a war against terrorism.
We are hardly at war against all the islamic nations. We haven't declared war against Iran, and technically we aren't at war against Iraq any more, but rather the terrorists inside the country that want to distablize the new government and reinstate the tyranny they desire.
As for North Korea, yes they are a threat, but no where near as serious of one as other countries. China and or Japan would probably beat us to the punch at putting down NK if its ruler, Kim Il Sung, ever does get really serious about nuclear weapons and long range missles.
NK is mostly a joke. Unlike when we fought them back in the late 40's and early 50's, North Korea of today pretty much stands alone and unable to do anything. It's people are worn out and starved. They try to flee to South Korea or China but are shot by their own countrymen. There isn't a real while to fight in the general populace.
In my opinion, countries that are a worse threat to us and a bigger source of terrorism are Israel and France. Israel spend too much of its time and ability trying to retaliate in like manner to the attacks made on them. They need to take the high ground and that will win them the support of their neighbors which they now lack. France has a nasty tendency to support any type of kooky idea anyone brings to that country. They are strongly anti-American. They have also lost their country more than twice in the last century alone. We win it back for them, and we are the bad guys?
It is alway extremist that set the tone. To defeat terrorism, the sane members of all these groups need to stand up to the idiots who claim to lead them and represent their interests.

It is a war against a virulent, bastardized form of Islam. The problem is that many Muslims are afraid to speak out against it for many reasons. However, it is imperative that moderate Muslims speak out and defend their religion from those evil zealots that have twisted it into a form of fascism. Until that happens, many innocent people of all faiths will loose precious lives and treasure.
This is an historic turning point in Islam. Will it be a religion of life or a religion of death as the terrorists declare?
The President describe the Axis of Evil as Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and North Korea. There has been no change to the policy of dealing with all four. Afghanistan and Iraq are being dealt with. Iran will probably be dealt with next although what form it will take is not clear. North Korea has been restrained by the Chinese but is still a menace as long as Kim Jung Il is in charge.

Love to. There certain areas of the arab world that hates us. HATES US. They can't stand to see freedoms that we share here. They can't believe a woman is allowed to show their face in public, let alone run companies and such. Mr. islamic senator from up north Keith Ellison says he would like to see America under islamic law. That is what a number of the Islams love to do, spread their faith to those who don't like it. When 9-11 hit, I turned on the TV to see some idiots over there burning my flag that my grandfather fought in wars to preserve, and they are burning it. "Down with America, Down with America" it what their signs said. I don't think it's a war against islam, and no I won't capitalize that word, islam is a faith, radical islams kill for their "lord." They strap bombs to people and kill others. Christianity has their nuts too, but I would rather sit with them, than a radical islamic person, no matter where they are from, any day of the week. The problem with the countries you are talking about is that they fund these organizations. Iran might possibly be funding these nuts to come blow up a couple more buildings. That is why this is a war against radical islamic people who want nothing more that America to cease, and become an islamic state.

The war is against terrorism. The fact that almost all terrorist attacks are committed by someone who represents Islam has a lot to do with why the Arab world feels that way. If these terrorists are not representing the feelings of the Islamic world, then why are true Islams not denouncing terrorism instead of running to America and then protesting American involvement.
Seems to me that if all that represent Islam would have run there mouths and expressed their opinions in their own country, America and the rest of the world wouldn't even be involved.
It's like blaming the rest of the world because you did a lousy job in raising your own child. If the child is a menace and was allowed to do anything he/she wanted, it's not our fault. If the Islamic community is so strong, why could they have not policed themselves and saved the rest of the world from being involved? America, whether you agree or not, is simply punishing YOUR children when you didn't bother to take the time to do it yourselves.

Though Islam is the continuation of Abrahamic; Judeo-Christian beliefs and the religion was there before Prophet Muhammad, if you are excluding islam from abrahamic teachings, you can just check the time before the advent of Prophet Muhammad.. the whole world were in wars and terrorism.. including Arabian peninsula where tribal fights took many lives.. [1] And even after his advent.. Imagine the 20th century violence and compare the roles of "Muslims" in it to the so called peace loving "Christians". [2] So, there are arrogants, terrorists in every religion.. But, do they represent the teachings of these religions? This is the case. [3] And, about the so-called war on terror.. It is the colonialism of the US government and nothing else.. Ok. Blessings to you and your family. ma salam

No, it is a purely a war for the future of US. Since they are afraid of that, world may not recognise them as an super power and to show that they are so. At the same time, they are the beneficiary of those wars. They just sell all their old arms and ammunation to NATO countries and they renew their arms. And look into the Petrol wells, 60% of that are owned by Americans and if the oil rate hikes it is the American economy's boom.

Britain fought against terrorism for years the IRA they murdered many innocent women and children so terrorists come from all religions but I think now people just associate terrorism with Islam because that is who attacked USA.

Now let me see. The islamic church in iraq allowed people to be executed in football stadiums. The pregame show. The seeds for islamic regard for human dignity?
The global caliphate allows the infidels to be killed or offered dhimmi treatment.
It seems to me their is no muslim moral high ground. The terrorists expect support from their "brothers".
It's a war against islam to the extent that islam does not embrace it's own war against terrorists.

I believe the war is on terrorism. If it were on Islam you would see concentration camps holding Islams hear on American soil. America does take the threat of North Korea seriously... it is all over the news all of the time. However, we were not attacked by North Koreans... we were attacked by Islamo fascist. You go after one at a time and by the priority of the threat.
