Ok I GOT IT !!!! But we have over 12 million ILLEGAL immigrants just from Mexico.Now seriously how would you SEND that many people back?Why not get them TEMPORARY work visa's and out in the open so they CAN contribute to all the programs some of you claim they use.Yes I do help them get tax ID's and it's all on the up and up.Mexican birth certificate and all.Right now the way things stand we don't have documentation on many of them.So if they want to be criminals all they have to do is melt into the woodwork.If they were given documentation our laws regarding arrest and deportation would change too.Bush actually has a good policy he is trying to implement.It protects Americans and helps with immigration.My other question tried to point out that most illegals are just trying to blend in and make a living.I can see from some responses it wouldn't matter if they were legal or not.But most only seem to have a problem with the illegal.Those people I can understand.Bush reform is ok with you

It isn't all that difficult. First, you announce that all illegal immigrants must register by a certain date or face arrest. Second, you make it clear that any illegal who fails to register by that date will expelled and forever excluded from re-entry or citizenship forever. Third, you create a real and closely controlled guest worker program with strict regulations and limitations. Fourth, all illegals must leave by a designated date and will be eligible to seek guest worker status or citizenship after a year. Fifth, you make entering the country illegally a felony punishable by two years imprisonment and deportation.

The criminal ones aren't going to be 'documented' in any way you can pin down. At minimum they'll keep one set of ID for criminal activity and another to put their mortgage on. Only the ones who aren't otherwise criminal will come forward, so there is no benefit there. We need to stop the problem going forward. Until we do that, any legalization will just prime the illegal immigration pump further.

In addition, a 'touch back' is simply insulting. They should put more effort into real border solutions and numbers trimming (visa exit tracking system trigger, anyone? citizen suit provisions to permit citizens to compell enforcement from sanctuary cities, anyone? Restricting chain migration so parents who intentionally give birth here to game our system to get themselves petitioned in don't benefit, anyone?) than to cosmetics.

mx3baby - what kind of parent would come here illegally and have a child KNOWING that there was a risk of being deported and the family could be separated? a selfish parent that is who - a parent that had a kid and tried to use that child as an ANCHOR thininking that they would NEVER be deported.

Yeah it is sad, sad that someone would use a kid as a pawn like that. Deport them all, yeah it is extreme - but maybe people will think twice before having anchor babies or coming here illegally.

Notice that today's rallies were a lot smaller than last year's? Ilegals are either getting smart and not making such publis asses of themselves or we are finally srating to deport them.

We have 12 million illegals here from Mexico. So why are there crops in the fields rotting? Because Mexicans do not want to work the jobs that Americans or should I say Legals dont want. So why are they here? To make easy, fast money any way they can, they are not here to be Americans. Send them all back and have them apply to be real Americans.

I have no interest in trying to round em up and send them back.
As ive said all along, take away all incentive to be illegal and they will either do it legally ( either immigrate, or get a visa, work permit .. whatever ) or they will leave.
Then the only illegals we will have are your drug dealers and the like and thats a much more manageable amount of people to deal with.

By taking away all incentive I mean, ending the law that allows for 'anchor babies'.
Very harshly punishing anyone who knowingly hires illegals, and investigating any reports of them.
We also need to quit giving free education and healthcare to illegals. Only emergency medical care.
No instate tuition, no drivers licenses, no nothing.

Then we need to have a better temprary work visa system. It needs to check criminal history, and check for contagious diseases. A dna sample for medical info and for tracking in crimical proceedings etc..

Wont happen overnight but we can get the decent people documented and then they can go about working and doing their thing. And we can get rid of the not decent people.

With all due respect Vicky, you need to rethink this. Criminals cannot be rewarded with citizenship. They are being allowed and encouraged to come in by our corporate-controlled puppet government to futher lower wages and make us all slaves.

If a very simple system were put into place to make hiring illegals the least bit risky... They couldn't work and would simply go home and stop coming. No need to round them up at all!!! The Constitution and most basic American law has been thrown out by "our" terribly corrupt government!!! Illegals (foreign invaders, slaves that you have to "compete" with) are being ENCOURAGED to come!! There is NO ATTEMPT AT ALL to enforce immegration laws. TREASON!!! How do you "compete" with a 3rd world slave without becoming one???!!! You don't!!!

The government says we are short on labor... while we have the world's largest prison population... because Americans would rather go to prison than work a job where you'd have to live in a one-bedroom apartment with 5 other people just to get by, have no security, no medical coverage... I agree, not all Mexicans are illegal aliens.

I saw something incredibly sad today in the news about this whole immigration thing.

From what I understood, the law is now coming down on illegals. A mother and father were torn from their children and sent back to Mexico. The children are all US citizens because they were born here and therefore can stay. The oldest child, a daughter is 16. She is now the head of the household caring for her two younger siblings. She has to pay the bills, go to school, care for her siblings...all at age 16. She was totally overwhelmed! The youngest was crying because she wanted her mother back.

One (white) lady that was on the news said that it is the parents' own fault. They created this situation. If they didn't come here illegally, they would still be with their children....

What should have happened in this case?

In someone subject, sure, if someone is dumb adequate to purchase a lemon for that a lot, that is extra their fault than the sellers fault. they could merely bypass purchase a lemon for much less another position. besides the indisputable fact that, in maximum places i believe there are guidelines about how a lot they can price for products in shops and whatnot. If all lemons by wonder cost 100 money for no reason, it would not be ok.
