Sure. While were at it, lets pick on everyone's middle name.
George WALKER Bush
Lets compare him to John Anthony Walker, who sold himself as a spy to the USSR.
Donald HENRY Rumsfeld
Lets compare him to Allen Gerard Henry - American Spy-Defected to U.S.S.R
Addison MITCHELL "Mitch" McConnell
Lets compare him to George Mitchell (aka The Penguin) - Famous Dublin Criminal.
Samuel DALE Brownback
Lets compare him to George Dale, executed murderer.
See, I can do it too. Doesn't make it right. What's your middle name? I can find one for you, too...
edit - can't pick on Lynn. That's my wife's middle name, too.

Senator Obama is at an advantage and disadvanatage in names. In light of the Middle East situation many voters do not trust Arabic sounding names, especially if it is Hussein. I am in the south (Mississippi) and have a political science degree from Mississippi State University. The consensus I am hearing from the general population is that anyone with a Middle eastern background (geneology) is not welcome. It was much the same after the Vietnam conflict, great resentment for asians reguardless of nationality. The fact that Senator Obama is African-american and has a muslum/arabic name should be irrevelant at the polls. But only in America can a name prevent one from becoming president. My opinion is that he drop his middle name. He can declare that he is any denomination he wants. All the people see is the enemy of the US has the same name he has.

I doubt he will, because Americans will have a very hard time not associating him with the other Hussein. He's too smart to lose because of that.
As a republican, I hope Clinton gets the democratic nomination. There was a poll a couple of months ago that revealed that she scares (yes, the poll used that terminology) more people than any other candidate.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

obama don't need no gimmicks to stand out, he's by far the most intelligent candidate in twelve years and i for one would like the president to be smarter than me, and i'm not talking about mispronouncing words, i actually think it's kinda cool if the people no what the word means by all means communicate it, wear blue jeans, clear brush, that's fine, but don't abuse the poor and middle class and act like you're on their side and repeatedly make mistakes and blame others, you know the usual

the only ones making a case out of his middle name are the cons who think that his middle name somehow ties him to terrorism......how stupid is that ...if guilt was associated with someones name then your president should be tied to the gangster George baby face nelson...... its a non issue

What a silly thing to concern ourselves with when there are serious issues with long term consequences that are more relevant.
