It was a clear message that he is defying the will of the American people but most republican fallow father figures that know best instead of representatives of the people`s will which is the congress`s job and the president`s job is to uphold the Constitution by making sure Congress does not disobey the Constitution. Congress had to prove Bush is defying the majority of the American people before they come after him criminally.

When did the democrats do what they were elected to do? They rode the "we'll get the troops out of Iraq" bandwagon to the Capitol, and they just voted to keep the war going.
I mean, I understand if they want me to leave Iraq, but if that was the case, they wouldn't have just voted to keep me here for a while.
I hope it's just a matter of time before democrats realize that their congressmen sold them down the river for a vote.

That's the president's job. The founding fathers gave the executive branch was given veto power as a check to the legislative branch.
To paraphrase a wise person -
When are the democrats going to realize that the president is doing what we elected him to do? Please, Ms. Pelosi, stop blaming the republicans for doing the job we sent them there to do. If you want to blame someone, BLAME US, the voters!!!

Amen! Well said! Bravo!
To the guy below me...he did not win by any landslide, that is for sure.
Besides read the congressional report by Conyers regarding the malfunctioning machines in Ohio...it will make you second guess a lot of things.

Sadly, I doubt that President Bush will come to this realization before his term ends. Only then will Bush's bubble burst and will he come to face the reality of this gruesome war.

What part of "an elected president stays in power for 4 years" don't you understand?
We live in a republic, not a democracy. If we lived in a democracy, I would agree with you, but we don't Bush is YOUR president that YOUR country elected in a landslide in 2004.

No offense, but I think that the prez has a better understanding of the threat to our way of life than the largest number of 18-24 voters EVER.
