A first drunk driving offence without injury should be minimum $10,000 fine. If injuries result, attempted manslaughter charges, and if death results, mandatory manslaughter charges, conviction resulting in 10 years non-negotiable jail sentence. Any person who commits a second drunk driving offence should be jailed for 20 years, minimum, non-negotiable. Hit-and-run or reckless driving involving injury should be minimum charges of attempted manslaughter, with 10 year minimum non-negotiable sentences.
