The same things over and over? Like "hang in there" or "it's going to be okay"...etc. I'm asking this because my best friend is deployed at the moment, & today he e-mailed me and told me that he would be deployed 15 months instead of the original 12 months. He's not complaining or anything and was prepared, and of course he accepts it; however, he is feeling down because he has a baby girl and he feels like she's not going to recognize him when he get's home. All I can think of to say is "hang in there" and "you can do this" and "you'll be okay". However, saying that seems so inadequate. What more can I say or do? "Hang in there" is beginning to sound kind of redundant, even to me. He doesn't complain of course, but I can't help but wonder whether or not it irritates him to hear the same things all the time. This is definitely out of my realm of experience and knowledge.

Does anyone else think that if anything the African-Americans are the ones being racist? Like i believe they will do anything to pull the race card. I mean they say hoe and stuff to each other all the time but when somebody "White" says it, its all of a sudden bad? Thats what we get with a liberal society? Was i tought right lol?

I thought you had to be an adult to vote? Then shouldn't people start acting like adults and stop being sore losers? I makes me feel like I am in the first grade again.

I'm writing a paper and I was wondering besides the fact that you had to register for the draft, how did men find out that they had actually been drafted?

It's a fact that the Clintons have a pretty lengthy list of shady dealings, questionable executive orders, criminal associations, etc.

I wanted to learn more about them. This doesn't include Monica. Yes Bill lied under oath, but I am talking about the kind of stories that get buried.

I am not interested in right wing or left wing wise cracks, Clinton apologists, and so on. I just want good FACTS.

Include executive orders, shady business dealings, no-bid contracts, pardons, suspicious deaths, campaign funding, etc.

I welcome your objective answers. Thanks.

Why do conservatives always speak on behalf of God? They say God's on their side....they wage war and claim God agrees with them. They pretty much sounds like the very insane fundamentalists that we are fighting against! Does anyone see this irony?

No United States citizen can legally be required to PAY to vote...but what if registered voters were fined $50 for failing to cast any vote in primary or general elections?

After all, one can always go to the polls and push the "cast ballot" button on a completely blank ballot, to show that one doesn't like any of the choices offered. In every state, an absentee ballot is available for anyone who'll be unable to go to his/her designated polling place. Many states now have early voting. In short, we're running out of excuses not to vote.

After watching Iraqis stand in line for hours, uncertain whether they'd survive the process, but determined to exercise their brand-new right to vote, it was pretty embarassing to see our poor turnout at the next election we held here.

Perhaps being fined for failing to exercise this most precious of our rights and most solemn of our responsibilities as citizens would induce more of us to get to the polls and VOTE! What do you think?

I'm running for school elections for next year.Right now I'm not sure what position I'm going to be running for but student council elections are just around the corner at my school for the eighth graders going into ninth grade next year. My biggest problem is I need catchy slogans and ideas for a campain for it. So far I've gotten;
"School Lunch- $2.00
Juice- $1.00
An Extra Milk: $0.50
Voting for me for the 2007-2008 Student Council........
Priceless"
(I've also gotten this one set up so I can use it for school dances, new art supplies, and new sports equiptment)

"Bush, Kerry, (my last name)
It's your chioce."

"Three canidates.....who said anything about three canidates?"

"If you want the best, you have to vote for the best"

" [my photo next to Bush's] I won't blow it" (too harsh?)

So, what do you think of mine and so you have any other ideas?

I know Jessie was around when Dr. King was assasinated, but what has he done since except for showing and hogging the camera for his own pesonal gain?
And where did Al Sharpton get his start?

View the following links then give me your honest opinion.

while Don Imus' comments were offensive they were said in jest. http://youtube.com/watch?v=RF9BjB7Bzr0

Compare to Bill O'Reilly

It appears quite obvious to me, that when you dechiper through his attempts to obfuscate his true intentions; Bill O'Reily is little more than a racist xenophobe, who wants a 'whites only' immigration policy. He actually used terms like 'the Dominant people' and the current 'white power structure' it was spooky, and he is dead serious!

I'm I the only one who thinks Bill is far more dangerous than Don ever could be?
