Why do conservatives always speak on behalf of God? They say God's on their side....they wage war and claim God agrees with them. They pretty much sounds like the very insane fundamentalists that we are fighting against! Does anyone see this irony?

Here we go again.

1. Christianity - a doctrine stolen out from under a group of Israelite freedom fighters in the period ( roughly ) between 40 ad and 55 ad by the imposter Saul of Tarsus, later known as St. Paul.

2. These cults eventuality formed the basis, under the bogus tutelage of Paul and his followers, of a reasonably coherent doctrine, that was in the third century ad, gaining quite some volume of popular support amongst the towns of Asia Minor and Greece, even into the domain of Imperial Rome, both in it's western empire centered on Rome, and also it's eastern counterpart centered on Byzantium, later Constantinople ( now known as Istanbul ).

Constantine decided in the early 3rd century ad that 'Christianity' would make a good choice as an official religion of control, due to it's strong 'Death Cult' undertones, with promise of a hard life in this world, for which 'good behavioiur' would earn you an eternity in 'paradise'.

Thus 'Conservative' values have been engrained for two thousand years with the idea of supporting this system for maintaining the status quo of power.

This system is so cunning that even the humble functionaries enforce the system to their master's bidding, even though they themselves are just a surely slaves to it.

It has been dressed up to look like the politics of religion, but it is really the politics of oligarchy. Otherwise known as Fascism.

Yes, I agree that fanaticism of any 'stripe' is pretty much the same thing.

They don't, they have just convinced themselves that they do. And yes, they are very much like their fundamentalist Muslim counterparts. They are just well funded enough not to have to resort to violence in most cases.

First. You sound like you are in high school or college. If that's the case, ask me when the spell wears off.
Second, religious conservatives aren't calling for the total destruction of the middle east. They aren't saying convert or die. They aren't kidnapping muslims in this country, beheading them, and dragging them burning through the streets...

Come on buddy. Quit drinking the kool-aid and read deeper than the spoon-fed information.
