I'm an American citizen married to an Egyptian national. We are expecting our first child and we plan on giving the baby dual citizenship. My husband just heard and even I doubt this but thought I should ask if anyone would know about this. Would the American government deny my son American nationality if we name him Mohamed? I know this question sounds kinda out of there but just wanted to know. Stranger things have happened. Like they said here that corn flakes causes cancer.

Don't say it can't happen - majority rules. Or it could be done by force.

The key word in the attached site is "American". being held in a secret Ethiopian prison by our government...without trial or and due process...and probably being tortured (or else why have him in a secret proson). I really don't care what he did...if he is an american citizen and our government is not trying him in America, then we now have gulags and democracy is dying

DOES EXIST and there is tons of scientific evidence that it does occur.
But the primary cause of it is not human actions.
If you would go to the NASA website and find out about the temperature of the outerlying planets you will see that the outerlying planets are also heating up too or are experiencing higher temperature fluctuations.
Also, automobiles and industry only produced a very very small fraction of the greenhouse gases compared to all of the volcanoes and forest fires that occur every year. The fraction is about one millionth and surprisingly low.
I think that Al Gore is just controlling people with fear about a subject they don't know much about. Gore is using emotional videos and speaches to intimidate people.
I do support a cleaner environment but I think that other forms of pollution are more harmful to the environment like the dumping of toxic chemicals into the ocean.
Do you still support a carbon tax? A tax that if implmented will only benefit the democrats?

recent studies show that the temprature on Mars had gone up. and since Mars is a "replica of the Earth" then does that mean that humans didn't cause global warming after all? Does it mean that through time the Earth goes through warming and heating cycles? Please give me your thoughts.

good topic. confusing topic. stressfull topic. we all know it. when it comes to politics well thats when the arguments start. well heres my arguement. whether you support bush or not, i think NO ONE has the right to critize him for what he does. I MEAN, EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES, depends on HIM. on that ONE person. he has the U.S. on his shoulders. i mean, i don't know what its like in his position, but i know hes doing the best he can. he's part of us too. he's nothing special, he just makes the decisions. i think we should all stop and pray for him, because imagine if you were him making a decision for everyone, your family, friends, and people you don't even know and hate you because of that desicion. kind of stupid. i think instead of critizing him, pray for him. pray to god that he will make the right decision for ALL OF US.
you want peace? well this isnt the way to start it off.

Well, Winston Churchill is having a scotch in his grave right now asking the question: "How did 15 British sailors and Marines give up without firing a shot?" Churchill probably cannot believe this. You know, they pretty mothballed their navy. Great Britain, I'll tell you, it's gone PC in ways you wouldn't believe. If you people haven't heard, this I want you to sit down. This is from the UK Daily Mail: "Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils," according to a government study. The study "found that some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity of the Holocaust for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial. There is also resistance to tackling the Eleventh Century crusades where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques. The findings have prompted claims that some schools are using histories as a vehicle for promoting political correctness."

Political correctness? It's worse than that! The Brits are not teaching the Holocaust because there are Muslim students in there who are Holocaust deniers, and they don't want them to be offended! They're worried that they're going to start blowing up the schools or something, I guess. (interruption) Yes, there is a "consensus" on the Holocaust, but the Brits are willing to say, "To hell with consensus." The Holocaust is not "consensus." It's fact. Look, you wonder what's happened to the Brits? It's political correctness is running amok, and "conflict resolution." Does anybody think that 15 United States Marines would just sit there and allow themselves to be taken when they had not invaded Iranian waters and then in two days, start apologizing on Iranian TV? Do you think 15 United States Marines would do this?

No.

Way.

Semper fi. No way. But all you have to know is the story I just told you. They're not teaching the Holocaust might offend Muslim students who don't believe it.

Ever since Bill Clinton was elected president there's been a campaign of hatred against Hillary. They criticized her hair, clothes, everything she said, that she stayed with Bill, that she was a working woman. What has she done that really disserves all the hatred that's directed at her? Congress spent over $40 million investigating the Clintons and couldn't find anything!

She seems like a smart, strong woman. She's a good mother and has raised a strong, independent daughter. She's been a twice-elected senator from NY. And she showed more strength than anyone I know during the assault upon Bill during the whole impeachment process.

What, specifically, riles you so, besides the usual attacks, please.

Paraphrasing "W" by 2017 we will cut emissions by cutting dependance on oil by 20% by substituting alternate energy but we must maintain economic growth to enable reaseach in that field. Don't you love politcal rhetoric? However, he also said, the problem is with China because they will contribute more pollution and off-set our cutting down on emissions. Yet we contribute to the pollution produced by China by buying their exports! When is the last time you bought anything that wasn't made in China!!!? We are contributors to their pollution while at the same time we're not encouraging our own industry or retailers to buy American or come up with a policy to encourage more competition in this country to produce quality merchandise that won't result in pollution or compete with China? It is like a dog chasing it's tail. If he catches it, he bites himself in the a88. Answer this cunudrum and win a Pulitzer prize. At very least, you will realize Bush hasn't a global clue.

The Electoral College can hurt either Dems or Republicans.
2000 Gore won the popular vote by 544,000
2004 - Kerry would have won with just
59,000 more Ohio votes. even though 5 million more people voted for Bush!
