The CIA overthrew the democratically elected government led by Mossagegh in 1953. He was pro-American and educated in the west, but wanted to nationalize the oil fields. He was also an anti-communist as he drove out communist groups in northern Iran. The way the CIA accomplished this can be found in declassified documents (Operation Ajax) The CIA staged terror attacks and killed many ppl, and them blamed them on Mossadegh (False flag, state -sponsored terrorism) Why do we not look at the events going on today in a histoical context?

NOT ONE AMERICAN SOLDIER DIED.

"President Clinton is once again releasing American military might on a foreign country with an ill-defined objective and no exit strategy. He has yet to tell the Congress how much this operation will cost. And he has not informed our nation's armed forces about how long they will be away from home. These strikes do not make for a sound foreign policy."-Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA)

"No goal, no objective, not until we have those things and a compelling case is made, then I say, back out of it, because innocent people are going to die for nothing. That's why I'm against it." -Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/5/99

"American foreign policy is now one huge big mystery. Simply put, the administration is trying to lead the world with a feel-good foreign policy." -Representative Tom Delay (R-TX), 1999

I heard Glenn Beck say this on his radio show - so I thought I'd pass it along to all you poor little white christian boys.

Don't thank me - please. Just the honor of helping you with your issues is enough thanks for me.

It seems to me presumptuous for the U.S. (and other countries) to dictate which weapons and technology other countries can have, especially since we give our own country a free pass as far as arms and technology go. It's like trying to put limits on what your next door neighbor can and can't own b/c you have suspicions about him. Lately it seems U.S. foreign policy is more "pre-emptive" than reactive and we're really overstepping our bounds based on hunches and suspicions. What are your thoughts?

Iran has more than tripled its ability to produce enriched uranium in the last three months, adding some 1,000 centrifuges which are used to separate radioactive particles from the raw material.
The development means Iran could have enough material for a nuclear bomb by 2009, sources familiar with the dramatic upgrade tell ABC News.
The sources say the unexpected expansion is taking place at Iran's nuclear enrichment plant outside the city of Natanz, in a hardened facility 70 feet underground.
A spokesperson for the United Nation's International Atomic Energy Agency, the IAEA, declined to comment citing the "extreme sensitivity" of the situation with Iran.
Iran has already declared its above-ground operations at Natanz have some 320 centrifuges.
The addition of 1,000 new centrifuges, which are not yet operational, means Iran is expanding its enrichment program at a pace much faster than U.S. intelligence experts had predicted.

When Nancy is trying her best to make things better for America by at least doing SOMETHING, why are BUSH and his possee and the NEO-CONS on YA so outraged by it. Is this finally PROOF that Bush and Neo-Cons in general are against the United States and are trying their best to bring it down?

There was none of the following before Bush took office:

Homeland Security
An alert system
New metal detecting machines and more airport security
Bomb sniffing dogs at airports and other facilities
Terrorists caught before they did their dirty deed
Patriot act to monitor terror activity (like it or not its necessary)
Funneling of terroist money stopped
Military supplies were at record low until Bush stepped it up
The Quick stabilization of economy after 9/11

I realize Liberals and Dems can't even give Bush a ounce of credit for his valient efforts, but I can and will.
One day it will be written in history that he was a hero.
Okay, so rant on...

I think it would be great for everyone to be allowed to say what they please in politics. No political correctness, or banning foul language. Pure bias fun.

Suppose there were two planet Earths. Suppose that Democrats completely ran one without opposition and Republicans completely ran the other without opposition. What would each planet be like after a couple of hundred years? I'm interested in knowing other people's perspective on a creative but absurd philosophical question. Suppose you could visit and evaluate each but would have to eventually make a choice of one or the other for permanent residence. What would they be like after a couple of millenniums and which would you choose? Thanks!

Q.E.D.

Fear of individual freedom is at the core of the modern American conservatism. One can only assume this results from conservatives projecting their sublimated rage and sexuality onto others.
