The news concerning the new strategies in Baghdad and the troop surge in general is not widely reported in the mainstream media - which can only mean that the immediate effects are somewhat positive in nature.
No news, in this case, is definitely good news - despite the constant bombardment of news concerning the terror, bombings and suicide attacks - this is simply reporting the terrorists' ramped up activities while ignoring news such as your question poses.
That's normal.

Yeah, so now in the few inches of baghdad we control, they can go out at night.
The lib press thing is a joke right? There is not a single major liberally-biased news network.
Do you think maybe Saddam Hussein gave Bush the same deal Harold the Saxon gave Harald Hardraadi... Seven feet of soil?

It is reported everywhere. There is no liberal media.
So, what do you expect us to say - it was all worth it? The reason the curfew has been extended is due to extended daylight.
I'm glad one tiny bit of good news came out of Baghdad. Despite your point of view, liberals are not rooting against peace in Iraq. I think you don't understand liberals.

Just wait a few weeks.
You can point to any so called 'good news' from Iraq and you'll soon see it evaporate faster than US taxpayers money in the hands of greedy war profiters in the war zone.
OK, so a couple of neighborhoods are secure for now.
I'm sure the South Vietnamese felt the same way before the Tet offensive.

Aren't you one of those that have claimed only repubs are serving in Iraq? So why should it matter to us liberals that the curfew begins 2 hours later, that would only apply to neocons anyway?

I see 1724 articles relating to the story on Google News. Should someone tell you that you can't do research?

Thanks for telling us.
Hey, guys, curfew is being lifted in Bagdad!
You are talking through your hat, as usual.
Curfew is being 'partially' lifted.
But, and this is the million dollar question, will the killing stop?
