You will have to hire an attorney for your court appearance. You will not be allowed to defend yourself. It's unlikely you will go to trial on the first date, because of Discovery. This means that the attorney wants to obtain any evidence pertaining to the arrest. Unless you're pleading guilty to all charges, expect to visit the court house several times. It's possible that some of the lower charges may be dropped, or reduced, but not knowing the exact situation, this is only speculation. During the trial, you will be questioned by the States Attorney, your attorney, and possibly the Judge. As far as the outcome. DWI/DUI is a jailable offense, but unlikely for a first time offender, and it didn't involve a personal injury accident. If found guilty, expect your insurance rates to go up, a suspended drivers license, some costly fines, and fees, and possibly community service. Remember, a number of things could change depending on the situation.

I don't know about the fines, but I heard of car ins cost over $$ 800.00 a month (in Pennsylvania)And you won't get a lawyer to answer the phone for less than $ 1000.00.

...if you've been "charged"... next you'll appear in the Court and plea to the violation... if you decide to contect the charge, fasten your seat belt, get your check book out and get ready to give up a-lot of "time"... Lawyer..."$$$"...loss of drivers license... (if convicted or you plea-out)... fines...Oh, lots of fines... "they" love their fines... lots and lots of fines.
Probation time and more "costs" and fines... drivers ed courses...more costs... more fines... the Lawyer wants more money... community service... sweep up crap for 30 days. more probation costs... house arrest...leg monitor..more costs for that... then about two years later... if you want your license back... reinstatment costs and DMV costs...
Welcome to the most expensive crime on the planet..DWI
