No! not a true christian ... not if you truley belive what you follow....
The bible speaks against it .. it speaks against murder...
its on of the 10 comandment and a baby is a gift from god
Exodus 21
22 "If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman's husband demands and the court allows. 23 But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.
1) If a woman gives birth prematurely, but there is no serious injury--i.e. the baby lives without harm,
then a fine results to compensate for the assault.
2) If a woman gives birth prematurely, and the baby dies, then the assailant is to be given the death penalty. This point is HUGE!!! What God is saying here is that the value and worth of an adult man is equal to the value and worth of an unborn fetus who was young enough, or injured enough, to die. God equates the loss of an unborn baby as the loss of a life, for He says, "you are to take life for life,..." This point cannot be emphasized too strongly. God considers the unborn baby alive, and the loss of that life is considered murder. This murder is punishable with the death penalty. This verse demonstrates three truths:
a) The unborn's life is equivalent in value to an adult's life in God's sight
b) This also outlines God's Law against criminal feticide.
c) The killing of the unborn is murder
God created us in our mother's womb
Psalm 139
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Judges 13:7
""But he said to me, 'You will conceive and give birth to a son.'"
This phrase is used quite often in the Bible; "conceive and give birth to a son". Notice that the term "conceive" is the beginning of the process that leads to birth. Conceiving and birthing are events. These events happen with a woman and a son [or daughter]. The Bible does not say, "You will conceive tissue, which shall become a baby, and then you will give birth to a son." The sentence describes events that take place involving "a son". This concept, in conjunction with Psalm 51 shows that the Bible speaks very freely and often about life as beginning at conception.
It's not up to me do decide if you are a true christian or just learning about the bible...
thats on you
and so is your conscience

1. Logic does not always apply to the Christian faith
2. I would having an abortion is a sin,
3. God is in the business of forgiving sins.
4. Why Jesus even died to pay our sin debt.
5. So, yes you can be a Christian and be Pro-abortion. I knew a very good Christian Nurse who was Pro-abortion for limited cases.
6. Yes the Bible does talk about killing the unborn, I used this text earlier today, You do err in not knowing the scriptures. The folks above that said that the Bible did not talk about Abortion. That is open to interpretation.
Bottom line your answer, YES, you can be a Christian and Not be Pro-Life. You are just mistaken, and misguided but we all make mistakes and Sin. 3 and 4 always apply.
1 John1:9 If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to for give us.

Not all Christian denominations feel that an embryo is the same as a fully formed fetus or newly born infant. Some even feel that it is the mother who makes the decision, others feel that its always wrong. There are no references to abortion in the Bible, if there are I would appreciate the chapter and verse, the only think I am aware of is the phrase "He knew you in your mothers womb" in Jeremiah and that is less to do with abortion than with beginnings.
Exodus 21 is more an expression of loss of property, the loss of a productive member of a family, than a law concerning the fetus. The woman gives birth prematurely, after an assault and the baby dies, not is born dead, this isn't the same thing an abortion, in the case cited some viability is present, whereas at three or four months there is no viability.
The other two are expressions of love and concern for an unborn baby, but don't mention one way or the other the removal of a three month or less embryo.
As if the eye for an eye thought weren't unpleasant enough, if that logic were to follow through, then a pregnant woman of the mans family who caused the injury would have to herself either be caused to lose the baby, a fetus for a fetus, or be forced to give it up to make reparations in kind to the other woman. Neither of which seems to pop up in the Bible so its certainly not what they had in mind there.

I am a Christian, I would never have an abortion, but I don't believe in telling others what they should or shouldn't do with their own bodies. If a woman is raped or a young girl is a victim of incest, I would never judge them for having an abortion for that. I don't believe in using abortions as a form of birth control, in this day and age every one can easily get a form of birth control. I think it is more correct to say Pro-choice.

I don't see why not. What some people fail to understand is that there are cases where abortions are performed NOT because a mother doesn't want the expected child, but because the preganancy threatens the mothers life.
Most people will say it's impossible to be both, but I have never met a so-called Christian that followed every rule laid out in the Bible. Saving a life is not a sin, and a living woman should have the right to life over a fetus.

Abortion is killing an unborn person and a gift from God, I am not one to judge, but I don't see how you could be and be for killing a special gift from God. Besides think of all those women out there that would love to have a child and are not blessed like some.

True Christians do not believe in killing. They follow the commandments that God gave them. Pseudo Christians believe in everything vile: homosexuality, abortion, murdering Muslims, etc., etc.
