http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070331/ap_on_re_eu/british_seized_iran_226 If this is true, that Iran planned in advance the capture of the sailors, then I would consider that an act of war.
"Iran appears intent on sending a message of strength as it faces mounting U.N. Nations sanctions...". Should we cut the crap and show them what strength really is?

I would like to hear from Americans as well as Britons, that if negotiations fail and Britain goes to war with Iran, would you support the US being apart of the invasion as well?

My debit/credit cards were stolen on 3/25/07. The thieves went on a shopping spree at nearly over 20 retail stores, gas stations, and restaurants. No one asked for ID! This is completely unacceptable. I would like sue the merchants for not protected me as a consumer, for only being concerned with their bottom line. Identity theft is on the rise and until we hold merchants responsible, it will continue to grow.

I suspect the sky would not fall, the seas would not boil, the U.S. would stay strong, and you would not see a change at all. In other cultures, same gender relationships were cherished, even encouraged, so, why all of the fear?

Both Liberals and Conservatives choose Safety over Freedom in today's political landscape. America is more concerned with it's security than its freedoms.

Since the beginning of the 20th Century, America has involved itself in countless conflicts across the globe, chiefly for its own benefit. The civilian casualties suffered by US intervention are the highest in history, not to mention Hiroshima, Tokyo and Nagasaki - the most utterly brutal and deadly attack on human civilians ever, over half a million peole dead in a matter of hours.

But the average American is scared to death in his or her own country.

Doesn't this sound like cowardice?

why do they offer Hicks, who is found 'guilty' (ahem) and pleaded such, less sentence if he does not say anything about his (mis)treatment by US jailkeepers ? Clearly, they have something to hide (provided he is guilty altogether)...

I know they were in small boats, and probably outgunned by larger, heavily armed patrol boats. But, they were armed, wouldn't you at least fight or speed off in another direction? To me they gave in too easily when this all could have been avoided.

Is the right to Free Speech more important than the right to basic living conditions? Or is that too much to ask?

Hillary: Will tell you what you want to hear and then deal with the fallout once she's President.

Obama: Wouldn't dare be running for President with his resume if he was a white guy. Two years in the Senate and a bunch of legislature time? Please.

Giuliani: If he can't keep his word to his spouse, why should we believe anything he tells US?

McCain: Who says "tar baby" and doesn't know that's racist? Please.
