Hi, I had an unlucky week. On march 2, I received a ticket for running a red light (I was driving alone on the road going the speed limit 45, at 11 pm, the police officer was waiting at the intersection perpendicular to me, and triggered the yellow light by driving over the sensor as soon as I got to a certain point at which he knew noone would stop at) There's no doubt that he didn't trap me. I saw nothing but yellow while going through that intersection, but he pulled me over anyway because his little trap always works I guess ( he drove over the sensor at the exact right time).
March 8, I, nervous every time I got a yellow light, became unsure of what to do because the previous officer was basically using an unsafe, unethical method of gaining revenue from random innocent citizens driving by. I came to a yellow light, hesitated, then slammed on my brakes.Didn't make it, and there was a cop. I have a court date for both tickets. For the 1st one on April 19 and the 2nd on April 6.

This organization has overlooked domestic interests time and time again in favor of Israel's. The last time I checked, taxpayers money goes to maintain and improve our government's functions.

Why do more people not demand they be removed from the U.S.?

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush, seeking to one-up Congress' Democratic majority in a showdown over the Iraq war, suggested Saturday that lawmakers should be ashamed that they added non-war items to an Iraq spending bill.

"I like peanuts as much as the next guy, but I believe the security of our troops should come before the security of our peanut crop," Bush said in his weekly radio address, referring to a provision in the war funding legislation that earmarks $74 million for secure peanut storage.

The Senate has passed a bill calling for most U.S. combat troops to be out of Iraq by March 31, 2008, while the House version demands a September 2008 withdrawal. In both houses, the timelines are attached to legislation providing money to fund military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan this year.

Bush repeated his promise to veto the bills if the timelines stay in -- and if the unrelated earmarks stay in as well -- because they "undercut our troops in the field."

Freedom of speech is a corner stone of America . If Americans didn't speak out . Queen Elizabeth would be making choices for us. Liberals get shot down now . Conservatives got shot down 8 years ago . Listen to each other , then decide. Even if it is unpopular.

One by a msg left on my cell phone, two by email. Before the last email the police laughed at me and said that if he wasn't outside your door don't worry. This guy is getting more dangerous because I don't respond to him. Even the lady from Domestic Violence said to 'leave him alone" WTF??? I have a restraining order and now he knows he can get away with anything. I just went and flied papers with the magistrates office & they gave me a court date. My question: Does he just get served papers to appear or does he get arrested?? Last time they arrested him for no trespassing and he spent 75 days in jail before he saw a judge. I'm a single mom with two teenage daughters and we are living in fear of this guy. Why can't he just leave us ALONE???

The United States has accused Syria of aiding the Sunni insurgency in western Iraq with weapons and fighters. Syria also is accused of supporting the militant extremist groups Hezbollah, a Shiite political party and militia, and Hamas.

"We do not encourage and, in fact, we discourage members of Congress to make such visits to Syria," said White House deputy spokeswoman Dana Perino. "This is a country that is a state sponsor of terror, one that is trying to disrupt the (Prime Minister Fouad) Siniora government in Lebanon and one that is allowing foreign fighters to flow through its borders to Iraq.

"I don't know what she is trying to accomplish, and I don't know if anyone in the administration has spoken to her about it," Perino said. "In general, we do discourage such trips."

Responding to a follow-up question, Perino added, "We think that someone should take a step back and think about the message that it sends ... to our allies."

I come from a pretty liberal town. Actually, Dennis Kucinich is my rep.

But even here the news is pretty conservative slanted. I was just wondering what exactly conservatives in this section are talking about when they refer to "the liberal media". I havent seen many liberal slanted news shows, especially on regular, non-cable television.

Thanks.

You believe people are poor cause they want to be-that Bush and Cheney are War heroes-China is our best freind because they make for a healthy stock market-that the War in Iraq had nothing to do with oil-you hate the thought of a draft because the people sending kids to War might have to go-that God is speaking through Bush-that the blue collar kids that died in Vietnam and WWII were wealthy Repubicans-that the Democrats are resposible for the mismangement of the Iraq War-that Halliburton moved to Dubai becuase of there love for America-when in doubt blame Clinton!!!!

I can definately take good jokes and busts and love to crack them too so I'm not worried about my co enlistees who have "manlier" jobs busting on me while I bust back all in good fun. But is there a more serious reason why I should not try to get an administrative desk job if that's what I want to do in the air force? Will I be looked down upon by my superiors as a some sort of sorry excuse for a man by being a man, with a administrative desk job in the air force who is qualified for much more physically of "tougher" jobs?

I'm not trying to start anything with any men in the military with desk positions. I'd like to here from you guys the most. What is your experience like as far as how you are looked at as being a man in the military with an administrative desk job? Is it weird or is it cool? How did you get that behind the desk job? Is there lots of competition for these jobs? Or are they reserved for mostly women? Thanks
