You should not make erroneous assumptions. Tons of money are spent on education in the US. If you want to do a worthwhile report, try to find out how much is spent every year, on education, at all levels in the US. The amount is so huge, it will astound you.
Take a look at the budget for the US Department of Education. No one in the entire department teaches anything to anyone.
Money spent on the military would not cease if the war in Iraq ended. The military still must be supported.
There is no evidence to date that spending more money on education will improve education. In the US we keep spending more on education and we are continually getting less for our money. Just read the Y! questions and see the results of our education system.

That is the meaning of Bush's 'no child left behind', no more non-Republican children being educated. Part of the motto, keep them poor and uneducated, to easily control and manipulate them.

schools have more money than they ever had before. they need to get rid of the unions. pay teachers for student performance . schools are set up in a liberal socialist fashion. is it any wonder they fail? set it up as a free market just like our economic system and you ll have teachers wanting bonuses and guess what, they teach better. putting good money after bad in the school system has failed for yrs and yrs

It's not the "money for education" - if it weren't going to national defense and to support the military it would most likely be going to fund a bunch of pork barrel legislation for all the new democratic legislators who need to pay back all the favors that got them elected.

It's all because Bush is an idiot. sorry, but i said it. people believed him, they had a better choice (Kerry) but didn't care about our future, they were thinking how well they were doing in war. free gas, ooh, yeah! not. if they're taking FREE gas from Iraq, then why is the gas price going higher? All the US money goes to war, duh!

That's because a Republican is in charge of the White House.

If it doesn't work, then you have got to change it.
Come 2008, vote the candidate that you think will benefit the kids.

You said it " (The) children are the future."
