I could care less about Sandy Berger.

But the lying accusations leveled against him I do care about.

Government is not a celebrity game. It is not about the one, it is about the whole.

I would venture to say very few people on this forum have spent time researching anything in the National Archives. But I have. This gives me personal insight to the workings of the archives. And illuminates the case against Berger.

I am not doubting that Berger wound up with some documents in his brief case. I doubt the innocence of those associating with him on the day this happened.

For a start you have an archivist assigned to you. You don't copy anything, they do. Next everything is signed in and out. Also every person is signed in and out every bag checked.

If Berger truly got out with unauthorized documents it took more than one person to do it.

Were taking National Archives not Cartman's school Library

The Lawrence Franklin espionage scandal (also known as the AIPAC espionage scandal) refers to allegations that information regarding United States policy towards Iran was passed to Israel through Lawrence Franklin via the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Franklin, a former Defense Department employee, has pleaded guilty to several espionage-related charges and was sentenced in January 2006 to nearly thirteen years of prison. Two former AIPAC employees have also been indicted.

Sandy Berger went to the national archives and stole documents related to 9/11 and bin ladin. Then he destroyed them. That's why. It's not a matter of fair and balanced.. it's about a story that should have gotten alot more press than it did.

CNN, NBC,MSNBC,CBS,ABC, and whatever else ones are left never do specials on Berger, so yes, this is fair..

Almost all news on tv is way left. There is ONE channel, FOX,that actually shows both sides of the story and has a few more Republicans on it.Why does that scare you guys so much? And oh yea, it just happens to be number 1 still HAHA

I want to know what our Govt is up to. Dont you? You can be sure if it was you stealing a page out the book in your local library you would be pressed for the truth yet for some unknown reason his theft has fallen through the cracks. I want to know what he took and why. And maybe more important is how. If you cant answer these questions then we have no security in this country.

Well, it isn't everyday that a former major member of a presidents cabinet steals the only copies of top secret documents by stuffing them in his pants. You find this not worthy of comment?

I agree to be fair and balanced the other networks should discuss this too.

what he did was FAR worse than anything Libby or delay is supposed to have done. the real question should be why havent the rest of the media reported the Sandy Burglar scandal?

Plame was not a covert agent, no matter how much you wish her to be.

Sandy Burglar is being protected. Anyone else doing what he did would be sitting in jail somewhere. Stealing is a crime. Stealing classified documents is criminal.

For one, the man stuffed documents in his fruit of the looms. Why is CNN constantly running stories on Karl Rove, and Scooter Libby?

So you're not interested in knowing why he hid papers from the archives in his clothing and then destroyed them? You don't want to know the truth?
Oops--that's right--he's a Democrat. Democrats can do no wrong, even when they do wrong.
