He would still be in power today and could go on terrorizing his own nation and we would could have concentrated on other enemys . I just find it strange .

Actually Cory....there have been foreign military on our bases.
We teach many foreigners to jump HALO for one example.
Another is there were foreign big wigs on some of our bases just a few months ago.
How do I know? Cause I"m at one of those posts that they visited. They also visited in San Diego.

Saddam DID let inspectors in. CNN and FOX were squealing with joy about the fact that inspectors were allowed everywhere, including Saddam's palaces. Bush just kept pushing the WMD line here at home; he went to war without legal justification or the consent of We the People.

As "stupid" as the US is -- we've done the same thing. We've denied access to foreign inspectors into our military bases.
Even just in the past 5 years, we've denied UN inspectors access to our detention facilities in Gitmo, which has earned the US sanctions as well.
It's called national sovereignty. If a nation doesn't want to allow outsiders in, nothing short of military force can compel them to. And that's why the US attacked Iraq, and that's why nobody has tried forcing the issue with the US violations.
The US has more military force. Might makes right.

He should have been more open and forthcoming.
He brought upon his own demise.
He played into Bush's hand.
On the other hand, Bush was so ready to invade Iraq that no matter what Saddam did, the command would still be given.
