It depends on how you define successful. For instance, The first President Bush drove Iraq out of Kuwait. That is his biggest success.
President Reagan destroyed the Soviet Union, that was his biggest success.
President Clinton.....I can't think of a thing. He did manage to loose both housed of congress to the republicans after 40 years of democrat rule. Any of the laws he signed were passed by republicans. The only initiative his entire administration started was Hillary's healthcare plan and that crashed and burned.
He did some serious damage by allowing his big supporter the Loral Corporation to sell secret missle technology to the Chinese. Before that, they could not reach us with nukes, now they can. His own State Department begged him not to. He made Israel much less secure with that awful, one sided, land for peace deal.
Maybe I am missing something but what was so successful about the Clinton presidency? The man was impeached for crying out loud. He was found to be in contempt of court and lost his law license.

He simply rode the wave of the technology boom which happened in the 90s. We had a flourishing economy (which came crashing down in 1999) despite his tax hikes. I think if the liberal media stands behind someone and the economy is good, then they are ill-percieved to be a good president. But for example, when the liberal media is against someone like Bush, then even though the economy has been booming under him, he is percieved as bad because the public is constantly bombarded with negative messages with them trying to shape public opinion because they dont agree with his ideology or the strength of the conviction of his faith.

You'll have to clarify your question: What success did Clinton have? [a bj in the Oral Orifice? FBI files hidden in the WH living quarters? bombing a pharmaceuticals factory? talking Sandy Burglar into stealing records from the national archives?]

Because he thought about ALL the people in his policies, not JUST those who gave him campaign megabucks. It didn't hurt him that he has an excellent intellect. His early life was that of a working class... some might even say poor person. Both of these facts are MUCH unlike you-know-who.
