If the Constitution still applies, the American citizens are like the stakeholders of a corporation. Now how fast would a board of directors and a CEO be in trouble by filing a false annual report... or maybe NOT in Dumbyaland??? I'm using this example so that right wingers can understand it. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

No.
Actually the troops should be able to figure out what is really going on over there. Iraq keeps getting more and more dangerous everyday. When the American troops can dress and act like real police officers (they are doing police work after all) then we will know Iraq is at least as safe as NYC.
But then NYC has more police officers than Baghdad.

No. The government should never lie to its people. In America we are supposed to have a government for the people. They are supposed to be our voice and echo the majority.
Our government has become an entity to itself with a blatant disregard for the peopleand for peace. It has become a "gang" to protect and serve big corporate business and the almighty dollar at any cost.
George W. Bush said and I quote: "Sometimes money trumps peace".

Yes, he actually said that. Over 75% of Americans want world peace. Not a new world order.

No. Not to protect morale.
History has shown that morale is hurt much more by lies and the inability to trust authority than it is by any truth.
Shading the truth, spinning things, or even delaying news for a while can often be justified. But not flat out lies.

Why is it okay to lie to anyone about anything? It shouldn't be.
