In many countries, especially in Europe, drunk driving is a serious crime with very harsh pentalties. In the United States, over 40,000 people die each year in traffic crashes. Alchohol is a factor in tens of thousands of those crashes, yet drunk drivers get very light sentences. My wife and I were almost killed by a hit and run drunk driver and he only got 18 months of work release.

Are the Iranian trying to start a war to further their religious war and take control of Iraq? This type of situation is how World Wars start and the Iranian do not have the capability to defend themselves against the West. They talk a big game, but they do not have a clue about what the United States and Britian for that matter are truly capable of in terms of our military power. This same country has been a pain for the past 30 years ever since they took our embassy personnel and held them for over a year. Its time that we make a statement with force.

We are now beating the war drum over Iran, a predominantly Shi'a country. The civil war in Iraq is divided along religious lines - Shi'a versus Sunni. The Saudis are Sunni, and would stand to benefit by not having a Shi'a presence in the region.

Think about the relationship the House of Saud has enjoyed with the Bush family over the years.

Think back to Desert Storm - who were we really protecting?

Haven't we done this? In that way hasn't the job been finished? Saddam is gone.. and they now choose to live their lives in violence.. but that is their choice.. do we have the right to dictate what choice is correct? and do we have a responsibility to help them make the right decision? can we even help them make the right decision?

What must the "people" in charge in Teheran do before people in the West realize just what a dangerous regime it is?

They are illegally working on a nuclear weapons program, which their president happily announces will be used to blow Israel off the map, and now they engage in piracy to kidnap 15 sailors and Royal Marines from a Royal Navy vessel operating in Iraqi waters!

If ever a nation has simply begged to be attacked, it is Iran. I say we do so.

So, what is up with neoconservatives here, are you that out of step with the reality of what we are left with after George W. Bush and cronies?

Why is the US government not going after the companies (banking institution or other) and states (voting to give illegals drivers licenses privileges that legal Americans enjoy) that say it is ok to be here illegally--we will help you. Gee, it seems to me that this is telling the legal Americans breaking the law is ok. If this is the case, we don't need the constituion anymore--it is NO GOOD! WORTHLESS! I bet the founding fathers of our great land are rolling over in their graves at the thumbing of their noses and our government doing nothing!!!!!

The bill comes with strings attached, like getting the troops out by 2008. If we leave too early, would us being there have been pointless? Is it better to cut our losses, or finish what we started?

I am in the process of divorcing my husband for abuse over the last year. He would hit me whenever he got mad, then never apologize, but after he broke my nose, I'd had enough. Now, we just went through civilian courts yesterday for Assault and Battery and Violation of a Protection Order, and all he got was 14 days suspended for 2 years good behavior. And his command is doing nothing except making him go to conseling and anger management. Is there any way to get my command to make his command do something more to him? Because if they let him off this easy, he will do it again. He sees nothing wrong and feels he "did his time" which was not even 4 days in jail.

I don't understand why I should be the only one to suffer. I get verbally, emotionally, sexually, and physically abused for a year, and he gets off without even a slap on the wrist. Please help me find something to do so maybe he will realize that what he did is wrong. I would hate for someone else to go through this with him

Our nation is proof that a civil war can be a very good thing. Imagine what this country would be like today if another nation had stepped in and occupied the U.S. to prevent a civil war. Would you want to be living like that?

When two groups within a single nation violently disagree with one another about major social issues, civil war is inevitable, isn't it? Is our presence only delaying what will eventually happen? Does this mean we'll have to be a major occupying force in Iraq forever?

I say we gather all the warmongers, the one's that say "We need to stay and fight in Iraq" and also the one's that say "Let's get Iran next", let's give them weapons, ship them to Iraq, bring the real troops home and let the warmongers do what they think can be done.

Why is it that because I am the second wife of an ex-serviceman, I am not entitled to receive a pension when he dies. If I had been his first wife however, this would not be the case and I would receive upon his death a proportion of his pension. Surely, this is unfair, particularly when you consider the number of people who, for whatever reason now divorce and re-marry. Does anyone know if this has been challenged in the courts?

Is it because they are admitting in the video that they made a mistake. are they afraid that the world will realize that the british were in fact in iranian waters, possibly trying to stir up something to force a confrontation. most people would be happy to see their soldiers in good health and being treated properly, but instead they talk about how bad it is. arent they just upset because they are beginning to look bad?

Asked landlord for repairs 2/6, housing inspector came 2/21-not one repair done. Paid rent on time for 7 yrs & being punished for that. Landlord getting rewarded for unethical behavior. My credits being damaged because landlord wont' do repairs. Being forced to put rent in escrow. Dont want repairs now, just need time to save money/move/find a place to move. Can anyone please help?
