We are now beating the war drum over Iran, a predominantly Shi'a country. The civil war in Iraq is divided along religious lines - Shi'a versus Sunni. The Saudis are Sunni, and would stand to benefit by not having a Shi'a presence in the region.

Think about the relationship the House of Saud has enjoyed with the Bush family over the years.

Barkin - I saw it. In large measure over many years we have supported the Saudis with money, weapons and protection. The news article you reference is the reason I posted this question. They pay us back by funding terrorists that blow up our buildings and now publicly lambast us. We need to recognize the Saudis for what they really are.

Dude..... turn on the television. Do NOT go to the U.S. news, try going to an International channel. Saudi Arabia is blasting the U.S. over Iraq and Iran....at this moment
