She thinks the British kidnappings are a ploy to justify aggression toward Iran... My brother- in- law along with hundreds of fellow G.I.s were deployed from their naval base in California back in January. They boarded aircraft carriers along with thousands of other troops from around the nation. Their destination? Waters off the coast of Iran. My sister talks to him when she can and he still has no idea what they are going to be doing there... What do you think is going on?

If you consider Y!A a decent sample of America (thank God I don't believe it is) then you would have to agree that most people hold no accountability for themselves... just look at some of the questions they post...

and for the record, because I know many of you know I am a liberal democrat.. and it's bound to come up, I believe social programs should be overhauled to include more accountability than they currently do.. just because I want to help people doesn't mean I think we should waste money in the process.

would we be able to change their corrupted government and within years run it like a democracy like the united states?

If so, why cant the Mexicans do the same in their own country? Therefore the incentives to cross the border wouldnt be as great. They seem to have no trouble protesting their rights here. What is the problem with this?

I am 14 years old about to turn 15 this July. Now, my boyfriend is 17 about to turn 18 this November. It looks like a big age difference, right? Wrong. He was born November 16th, 1989. I was born July 20th, 1992. The age difference is only 2 years and 8 months. I live in NC and everyone is telling me that the legal age difference is four years. Only thing is, I need an actual document or internet site that states that it is legal. Please I really need this because his parents are threatening to break us up. Yes, HIS parents and he's 17. THey baby him and this is taking it too far. Neither one of us want to break up and I Just need an internet NC law site stating that the four year age difference is legal EVEN WHEN HE TURNS 18. Please, i really need this. Please help. =[

The people in this country need to stop the madness before the courts are filled up with dumb suits by radicals against public carriers and people expecting respect from all travers. The Media needs to be told not to glorify the Imans and others who are using religion to attack our values.

Here is a link to the BBC reports and video of the second soldier:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6509813.stm

I see these unfortunate soldiers in the pictures and video and they do not appear to be coerced or beaten as has been suggested by posters in Yahoo Answers. There does seem to be problems in translations from Farsi language to English as well as some bad editing on the video.

To me the soldiers look very confused by it all and are hoping this situation will meet with a diplomatic resoloution soon. They do not appear to be abused at all by the Iranians, and the broadcasts are for Iranian television and probably to calm the fears for Iranian citizens.

I think it would be best not to get all inflamed about this. Obviously the reactions intend to whip up anger and fury, which always causes a problem.

So far Iran just wants a promise that this will not happen again and wants a trial. I say let them have thier process and see what happens- then respond accordingly.

OK, I have been guilty of this before, but there are people on both sides who claim that the other side "hates America".

The Liberals hate America because they're "wimps and friends of terrorists"
The Conservatives hate America because they're "greedy businessmen and racists"

But do any of us REALLY hate America? I know I don't. Except for a VERY few amount of people in this country, we all love America. Heck, I'll bet even those nutty conspiracy theorists are glad to live here.

We need to quit letting all this political B.S. get in the way of our country. We have let politicians erode our rights and our way of life for so long, it will soon be gone.

In the next election, vote for a candidate who is good for AMERICA, not good for some other country!!

We all love America, we just all have different opinions on how to make it a greater country. Except my opinion's better.

Hello. I am going to be filing for divorce from my husband. We own a home and live in Michigan, but we were married in Wisconsin. Do I file Wisconsin papers, because that is where we were married, or MI, where we reside? I would truly appreciate an educated answer. (I know, call my attorney) My attorney is also his, so until I retain my own, I need to know the state issue. Thanks and god bless. : )

We're not really paying much attention to how it's being spent. That much is clear from the report a couple of months ago that our money funded an in-ground swimming pool at the home of an Iraqi official. So since we're taking a Hurricane Katrina-like approach to accounting for the money we're hading over to Iraq, and since reports have come out recently that someone within the administration over there was plotting to kill the PM or deputy PM (I don't remember which)... has anyone thought that maybe the $4.2 billion we've spent trying to build this joke of a democracy in Iraq might actually be going to fund the next terrorist attack against the U.S.? Isn't that a frightening damn thought?
