Bush has ordered a surge in Iraq, a purge at the Department of Justice and a funeral dirge on democracy as wire-tapping of Americans continues unabated.

New Orleans has not been rebuilt.

2 million more Americans have lost their health insurance.

prisoners at Guantanamo have still not seen a lawyer.

our veterans' health-care system has been rotting away to its moldy core.

fear, anger and contempt for America has spread worldwide and hardened to cement.

another $92.9 billion of our money has been spent in Iraq — and who knows where that money came from, really? We know where a lot of it went, though — to Dick Cheney's Haliburton.

another 800+ American soldiers have died

Seems to be the trend, cowardly tweekers and punk hoods waiting at our local grocery stores in Topeka KS to beat up the elderly for a few measly bucks, think it's fun to beat them, then steal thier car,nothing new here and I'm sure not in New York but now it's on video tape everyons in an uproar,gee I wish they were in an uproar when my 89 year old grandmother was raped and killed and robbed of a $200.00 SSI check and the P.D.covered it up because it was the police chiefs nephew

Instead of using its enormous wealth to build hospitals, and develop infrastructure in the 3rd and 2nd world, it has built more military bases, and created catastrophic conflicts to enslave the world to the American corporate machine.
Terrorism can be eliminated through the elimination of poverty, apparently some people don't get this.

I can't decide whether to join the police dept. or join a military branch after school. My ultimate goal is to be a forensic psychologist for the FBI ( one of my profesors was one of these) The psychology of a criminal facinates me and I would like to help catch them. Which should I do in order to get there, become a police officer and go for homicide detective or join the military? Which would help my ultimate career goal more?

I want to enlist and an 18X which is basically an 11b with airborne and a try out for special forces. I've been doing some reading and most say most special forces guys are older and have seen combat, but my recruiter some of the things and missions they do, and I dunno it appealed to me. I was already gonna be a 11B but though I'd tryout for this.


I guess what I'm asking is this, Do you think its stupid of me as an 18 year old to try out for this or should I wait? And what can I do to prepare?

First to the Conservatives:
-Why do you like Bush even though he brought us into a war "against terror" in a country (Iraq) that had no terrorists until we took out the regime we helped put in?
-Why do you spew hatred of homosexuals even though you are not one of them. Don't like it? Fine. Stop polluting my air with you rancid breath with rants on how gays are going to ruin our children's moral values.

And to the Liberals:
-Why do you hate Conservatives who are against abortion? To them its a human life thats being taken, not an issue of choice.
-Why must you continue to oppose the death penalty? I mean, if your kid was raped and killed by your gardener, wouldn't you want him dead? If you said no, your either lying or tripping on acid.

And to Both:
Why must you keep blaming each other for our country's problems? Its not the Conservatives blocking progress or Liberals ruining our moral values and national security, its both of you groups of morons who can't find middle ground.

They cry all night about their rights to own ASSAULT WEAPONS with 30 round banana clips for.. hunting or target shooting or some crap like that.

But when one of their most ESSENTIAL rights, the writ of habeous corpus has been TAKEN AWAY, they could care less.

I dont get that, do they think they can shoot at the government agents that come to arrest them and detain them ad infinitum?

What am i missing?

Is it true that Military Police is just pretty much infantry, but with a nice MP badge and the power to arrest people? Yeh I know in non deployment stages you back up real police, do police force kind of jobs, etc... but in battle other then the fact of investigating friendly fire, and arresting ROE violators, is it true that Military Police soldiers are just pretty much infantry... Im thinking about doing Military Police so I have a background in Police (Im going to be a state trooper oneday), but I dont want to be in heavy combat (Close combat, clearing out buildings, securing areas etc...)

This guy burns wood in a backyard pit when it's 95 degrees outside the smoke and smell blows into my home.

I asked him why he burns wood, he says he likes to? I asked him to stop on very hot days yet he'll do it again a week later.

He's not only bugging me but polluting for no reason other than he likes to. I think he's mentally unbalanced.

What would you do? What can I do?

Tonight, Kieth Olberman in a interview with Pat Tillmans mother, brought up his own conspiracy theory that the Pentagon had Pat Tillman killed on purpose to help increase recruiting.

Tillman's mother was speechless for a second, you could tell she couldn't believe he had actually ask her that question.

I think it's about time MSNBC fired Olberman, ranting about the president is one thing, but accusing the Pentagon of murdering a soldier on purpose to help recruiting is going way to far.
