I'd say their elitism . . . they are going to save us, the great unwashed peasants, from ourselves. They'll do this by creating government programs, and raising taxes to fund these programs (and punishing "evil" productive people in the process.)
They'll relieve us of the burden of having to make decisions for ourselves, because if we were left to our own devices, we'll surely destroy ourselves . . .
Left-wingers don't wont individual liberty because they don't want to deal with individual responsibility. Sounds kind of like slavery huh?

between the three that is the self righteousness that is the biggest difficulty as which could create extra distance in the route of reality. Hate and jealousy are after all the end results of our anger born out of our thoughts of righteousness/ego purely; and, those thoughts, in the adventure that they are genuine and extreme, may even take us close to reality( Ravanas,Kamsas have realised that!) . while Self righteousness can delude us even to imagine our self as reality Makers which we won't ever be!

I would like to see on piece of evidence that there is one person asking 9/11 questions and I am involved in it. Why would you succomb to such utter nonsense? Did you know a Scrips Howard poll shows that 86% of Americans do not believe the officail story.

I'm going to go with self-righteousness. Dems' intellectualism is easily dissected with careful thought. What endangers our country's future is their self-righteousness. This hubris, not subject to any form of evaluation, leads dems to act like drones when defending their anti-capitalist agenda.
examples: social security, medicare, medicaid, public aid, etc.

That's not the Dems greatest flaw.
Their greatest flaw is that they should be firmer and steadfast when it comes to holding the White House responsible for the past 6 years.
No one talks about Osama bin Ladin any more.
Why is that?
Didn't thousands of people die because of him?
Why isn't more concentration focused on capturing him?
He's kicking around, free as a bird and romping around with his many wives.
Yet we are all distracted by the Iraq war.
The Democrats should really put the pressure on Bush and impeach him for doing a lousy job as the Commander-in-Chief.
Don't let the innocent die for no reason.
Don't let the mandate of the people go to waste.

I can't help being self-righteous after Bush ran for President stating: "I will restore honor and integrity to the White House"
WM D's and all the lies about Iraq, outing CIA agent's, Abu Ghraib, Rumsfeld, 363 tons of unaccounted cash sent to Iraq, the Katrina failure, Libby's perjury, Rove, Gonzales, NSA spying on US citizens... the list goes on, and on, and on.
A good person like myself, can't help but be self-righteous.
p.s. I guess keeping current with all these events, makes me a pseudo-intellectual also.

Self-righteousness will always damage more than any other false belief. See Pharisees (they really were smart, but it did them no good.)

I don't know where you "are" but you need to get to a better place. The real problem the dems have is that they are nowhere as good as the neo-con at mindless sloganeering and character assasination.
