In TX and FL, laws were recently passed that state you can now shoot if you feel threatened, not just to avoid being killed.
So MY question would be this. I've ridden motorcycles for over 25 years and have never fealt so threatened for my safety and life as I do now by every idiot talking on their cell phone as they pull out in front of me without seeing or signaling.
If I move to TX or FL, can I shoot them?

NO. Unless your burglar attempts to harm you in some serious way, shooting them will not be covered by the fact that they were an intruder. Beyond that, many states have proportionality rules regarding self defense. This means that you cannot use more force to protect yourself than your attacker. Essentially, this means you can't shoot a man with a shotgun if he's running at you with a baseball bat. That said, if the intruder has a gun and you feel threatened that he will harm you or someone else in close proximity, you are most likely well within your rights to shoot him in self defense.

Acccording to the news Texas is proposing a law that you can shoot someone who's attacking you not only at home but at work and on the road.....it's expected to pass. I'm in MN and there is one thing for sure.....anybody coming thru my door uninvited is a threat to my safety and they d--- sure won't get their hands on me nor will they get a chance to fire first.....they will be carried out of here.

Yes you can and in Texas I understand they encourage one to do so. However, you cannot chase them if they exit and run. Then that becomes a criminal offense against you.

If you believe that you can convince a judge or jury that you were in fear for your safety, or that of your household, you have the right to use force up to and including deadly force to defend yourself.
