I already asked this in the pregnancy section but did not get any good responses...

I didn't wear a condom one time that I had a lapse in judgement and hooked up with another college student. Unfortunately she became pregnant. While I am against abortion because it's against Christ's teachings (even though she's not a Christian), we both decided that adoption was the best option.

However, I just found out that she plans to give up MY baby to a GAY COUPLE that she selected at the adoption agency! I don't want my child to be homosexual or think it's an acceptable lifestyle so what's the best way to avoid having this happen? I have talked to her and she doesn't seem to think it's a problem.

She already had me give up the parental rights though, after we decided on adoption BUT before she selected the gay couple...so is there any recourse? I wanted the parents to be Christians. Can I take her to court over this? My parents are very wealthy and hiring a good lawyer should be no problem.

I have had enough of the government and the way in which they have let this country go down the drain. I see no alternative government of any worth so I intend to march on parliament! I will show these morons that the good people have had enough and demand change! I will plant my flag on Parliament Green and then prepare for war! - trouble is, I need an army. Anyone fancy it?

Obviously, Adolf Hitler did not work alone. One man would not be able to acheieve such catastrophe without the support of others. Who were the main men that aided Hitler in achieving such mass destruction? I'm talking other government officials? Also, the most well known doctors and psychologists/psychiatrists that worked in the camps and experiemented on the prisoners. Any companies or important people that supplied financial support -- Basically all different categories of people who were working for and with the Nazis. Whether by choice or not.

All anyone ever mentions is "a governement that can defend itself" or "when we get the job done." However, these standards cannot be measured; no one can ever really tell if we meet them.

At one point we were after measurable objectives: be sure there weren't any WMD, capture Saddam, hold elections. But all these objectives have been met.

So, what measurable objectives are we now pursuing?

Would that stop the violence? Would that change the underlying reason for sectarian violence? Isn't there a basic flaw in the reasoning that more troops for a longer period of time will make Iraq a peaceful democratic society?

Your thoughts please.

Because that is how much they will cost when U.S. food companies are forced to stop using illegal migrant workers to pick 85% of our fruits and vegetables. If the jobs for them aren't here, they will stop coming. Are you willing to pay more for food to stop illegal immigration? Are you willing to protest the large food conglamerates?
