This is a question some of my co-workers and
myself has wondered.......

I know between Cuba and the United States there is
90 miles of water between them.

How much territory water that Cuba claim to be part of
their island nation???

I believe it is 7 miles from shore, anything outside of that is international water. I believe some country's do try to extend this but that is international treaty. .

According to the CIA World Fact book, Cuba claims 12 NM of territorial sea, a 24 NM contiguous zone, and a 200 NM exclusive economic zone.

Unless I am mistaken, the territorial limit before entering International waters is three miles around any country, including Cuba.... Unless, you are from Iran. Then, your territorial waters are where ever you can find hostages to take.
