We need to keep child predators off the streets and away from our children. Why would anyone be against a 25-year minimum? Frankly, I think they should be executed, but why not at least lock them up where they can't harm another child?

I'm sincerely interested in hearing the opposing point of view. And please - no politicizing. BOTH parties have pedophiles - neither side is *any* better than the other.

This should be a non-partisan issue.

I think that since we are going to electronic voting for reasons of saving the time counting the votes and making sure that there is time for everyone to have their turn to vote, that townships should be able to just create more precincts and have more volunteers to hand count votes. Any other ideas?

Why does the US and others think they have the right to stop another country like Iran from having nukes? Especially if we are preaching freedom and democracy, how can we deny another country what we and other nations already have? It seems there a fear of leveling the playing field. I personally would feel uneasy about them having it, and don't want them to,but we seem very hipocritical. I can certainly see why Iran feels like they do. Just curious and would like to hear oppinions

Do you need at least a dual party system for a nation to progress and grow, or can it be done with one party that changes over time? I do not mean like a dictatorship, I mean elected people. So it would be an individualized government where you select the best person in your area, without them having a larger political attachment.

First thing you should know is there haven't been any events or any reason to question my psychological fitness. You'll have to trust me on that. I have been hoping for a promotion at work. Basically, I meet the criteria and the promo should be automatic.

So the executive who could grant my promotion decides to hire his friend to run some psychological tests on me. They said they just wanted to evaluate the process (being sold by the friend) and see if this would be a good thing for others. I didn't feel I could refuse without jeopardizing my job. So I took the tests and am in the process of working through the results with the tester. The whole process will take several months. Nothing serious was found, in fact I look pretty good in it.

Now they say they won't consider promoting me while I am doing this. I'll now miss the only time of year I can get promoted.

Is there anything illegal about this? I have a feeling there is. I need advice from someone who would know.
