It's probably a £80 fixed penalty fine.

being drunk in a public place can carry an onthe spot fine issued on the street of £30, £40 or £50 dependng on the police force.
Or if arrested and charged with the offence you can only face Magistrates court for sentancing, and the maximum fine for any offence at magistrates court is £5000 or 6 months imprisonment.
however if you plead not guilty and are found guilty then will fine you about £150 and then the court costs on top of it,
if you go guilty they will only fine you a court assistance charge (less than entire court costs) and let you off.
remember courts can reduce penalty by up tp 30% if an early guilty plea is given

That would be called Pubic Intoxication. It depends on the county and state or city you live in. Some states have very strict laws. If you have a clean record sometimes the Judge will be kind enough and suspend the fine, jail time and court cost, providing you do not do it again. If you have been in trouble before, then that may be a different story. The judge can impose any fine he likes, ( after all he is the Judge ) so there really isn't any set amount. I hope this helps and Good Luck !

I was fined £100 in 1991 for being dunk and disorderly, that was excessive then, the average was £60. I upset the magistrate though by chewing gum

It depends upon your local city ordinances. The city where I live struck that charge from the books as it was determined to be unconstitutional to arrest someone merely for being intoxicated when no other offense has occurred.
