Each branch of the U.S. military has a specific mission and each one does it very well. Asking which branch is the best branch is like asking which spoke on bicycle wheel is the best spoke. There is no such thing as THE BEST BRANCH.

If you are asking the question because you like one branch better than you do the other, then you are always gonna get the person who was in a certain branch say there were or is.
It is sort of like which is the best high school, you automatically know that you are gonna say yours for some reason, we had the best football team, we were the best academically, our basketball team hardly lost.
All branches of the services have been assigned a certain function to perform.
The Army, the largest of all the others are ground forces, fighters, hold land that has been captured, good will ambassadors with the capabality of quick strikes with special units.
The Navy is our sea going force, able to deliver missles, planes, carry combat Marines and Army personal to drop off points, support the ground forces with planes, off shore battery fire.
The Air Force is our air power, able to take out and soften up the battle field for our land forces, take out enemy ships, planes, secure air space so our ground forces will have a open hand to conduct ground operations without fear of being attacked from above.
The Marines are a sort of strike and move on force that have special training that can strike from the sea and land.
Then you have the Coast Guard that only become a part of the acitve military services in time of war.
Now if the services are all stationed in one place such as an overseas base, the different services will form sporting teams like basketball, flag football to compete against each other.
So to select one that is better is almost impossible to do since there is nothing to compare them against. Now if you want to compare our military against another country's miltary that would be a better way of comparing, but to compare our miltiary against each service each other is almost an impossible thing to do.
I hope that this has been of some use to you, good luck.

should you even have to ask.... its the marines by far... but closely followed by the navy, and more singled out the navy SEALS, then the army and then the air force.....
i think that one is the best do to personal experience in the family ... my brother is in the marines. they are the first out to the lines and they portray much valor... though this is my opinion of what i prefere... i am proud of all who serve in the military...

Hickam AFB , Honolulu, Hawaii. I stay in Honolulu and bypass on Hickam frequently. ultimate gymnasium i've got ever been to. Very look after, DoD decal and army I.D had to get on base so it rather is secluded from outdoors people. alluring seashores everywhere in the island. and there is paintballing approximately 5 minutes away.
