so how can anyone , who is not a pedophile , vote for a democrat ever ?

Don't judge a group by its most vile supporters.
I'm sure that your average Klansman, when he wanders into a voting booth, votes Republican. Hell one of them ran for governor of Louisiana not too long ago as a Republican. And unfortunately a lot of people voted for him.

How can any decent person vote for a republican when the top republican is time and time again found to be a liar ( reason for Iraq war, Valerie Wilson scandal etc. )
We are all human, we all make mistakes. Yes even our leaders are Human. You look at the people running, learn about their morals, their past record, what they believe in. Take all this information and vote for the person that best represents your morals, your beliefs and what you think. Look at the full picture, not just one small moment in time.
With my first statement about lying as an example, if everyone was to judge every politician on that one aspect alone, we would never get anyone elected.

I haven't found a Democrat I support yet. However, Adam J (answer 1) is the only reasonable answer I see so far. Even if the party leadership does not agree with you, that doesn't mean the entire party is the same.

No person who practices a religion that believes sex should only be between a man and a woman, or that it is wrong to kill a baby can honestly vote for a democrat and be true to their faith.
