As an American I'm always amazed by how the Brits are so over represented in world affairs. How is it that a little Island nation, that cannot defend itself, is allowed to seat at the same table with the great nations of the world?

PLEASE - no personal opinions here. (I don't make enough to hire lawyer, make too much for free council) ok, here goes. Im facing foreclosure. Order to show cause. (1) (1) Any person whose real or personal property is affected by a recorded or filed lien or document that the person believes is a spurious lien or spurious document may petition the district court.... HOW? WHAT FORM? STATE OR LOCAL ?

6 years the USA had a Republican president and congress. Six years of bigger, fatter budgets, no legislation to reduce the "size of government", and a whole lot of people running for office in '06 saying "no new taxes and smaller government". What a joke, I think Republicans have to try harder at creating a message, because this one sounds old, tired, and hollow!

As an Englishman i was amazed to find out recently from many American users, that the USA won WW2 single handedly.Not only did they win the war, but they also prevented the British from now speaking German.
It had always been my opinion that the USA had been sat on their bums whilst the rest of the world fought against the Nazis.
So thanks to my new found knowledge i am now enlightened.
I always that the "Hollywood"School of history always reads better.

what right do you think you have to say, " stop whinging you knew when you signed up if there was a war you would be sent". being a soldier doesnt just mean we have to fight wars! some of us actually have trades and other jobs to perform rather than firing big guns all day!
for the better part of 12 years i served my country with pride only to find as ex military not a civilian, you, yes you lot were sat in your cosy arm chairs playing monty when youve not got the bollocks to sign up and taste a little piece of military life so dont scoof at those brave and yes they are brave military people who do what you lot could never.

I have met numerous Canadians on my travels, and I cannot express how impressed I am with each and every one of them. Being from Ireland, I find they are not as self obsessed as the Americans, who talk about me, me, me, me all the time. The average Canadian has an all round knowledge of life and other nationalities. The average American I have met could not tell you where Dublin is.
