Suspects and criminals must be treated like human beings under the law, not like barbarians. Abusive policemen can be charged for illegal handling of inmates or abuse of authority.

Our army is no better. But they look good because their task is comparatively very easy. They don't have to deal with situations as is done by the police.

Of course behaving with the people in a barbaric manner is condemnable.

But the public at large also behaves in a barbaric manner when they take law in their hands. If an accident takes place they beat up the driver mercilessly. They burn Rajdhani Express without any justification.

Isn't the task of the police very difficult in India. And police comes from amongst us only. So we get what we deserve!

Because the crowd management and policing is a tough job, but shooting in the TV camera and displaying it is a easy job in India.To some extent the organisers of the rally, bundh other event, in any form has to be blamed equally, they have to athere to some code of conduct, see that no rowdy elements is entertained. After all a police job is to do the policing in the situation, the organisers and participants should co operate with the police and act with utmost care and responsibility to achieve the result. That is way we won our freedom from the British might that kind of discipline will still work, if ego clash and arm twisting by our political leaders for their personal gains are stopped. Please compare the growth of TV as a medium with that of all other propaganda channels ie News paper and radio, in fact it had fallen . In this circumstances the politicians has to be blamed. In some occasion the demonstration and main event is delayed for non arrival of TV crew and proper coverage.
