Americans tend to be friendly but because of the perceived US intervention in other countries, they are not welcomed when intemingling with other nationalities.

Like it or not, the USA is always that white elephant in the room. We are big and cumbersome and take up a lot of space. Try to view it from the French perspective . . . their economy is smaller than ours . . . their land mass is smaller than ours . . . their population is smaller than ours . . . their army is smaller than ours . . . their nuclear arsenals are smaller than ours . . . get the picture and quite frankly it will be very hard for them to overcome the US in any one of these categories. Essentially they are defeated before they even start. It is always a one-sided argument with the US. Its very similar to high school. No matter what the homecoming queen does their will always be someone that resents her.

The whole world loves America.
That's why the Oscars are broadcast in 130 countries, Coke, McDonalds and Levis are sold all over the world, and everyone wants financial aid from us.

Americans go to work, support and love their families and friends, and just live peacefully. I grow tired of being categorized, as does every other US citizen, just because our government took us into what the world perceives as an "unpopular war".

Well I think we just give more then any other country does when asked to help, and none of us really loose any sleep over what y'all think of us. That part is up to you.

Usually, unless of course the rest of the world needs us to bail them out of crap they created themselves (ie, fascism, communism, colonialism, etc etc etc ad nauseum).
Nobody likes us until they need us, then they expect us to be their mothers.
