I do not get it...We are not at war for oil...We are at war to keep America and her allies safe...End of story...Oh yeah, if the war was about stealing oil, then why are we paying 3x more for gas than we were before the war??? Anyway...I want to hear someone PROVE that we are stealing oil....Show me the proof...Oh thats right....there isn't any...Wake up morons... This war is about stopping terrorism...not oil...But if you think it is...Prove it to me...

From the TimesOnline...

MOST Iraqis believe life is better for them now than it was under Saddam Hussein, according to a British opinion poll published today.

The survey of more than 5,000 Iraqis found the majority optimistic despite their suffering in sectarian violence since the American-led invasion four years ago this week.

One in four Iraqis has had a family member murdered, says the poll by Opinion Research Business. In Baghdad, the capital, one in four has had a relative kidnapped and one in three said members of their family had fled abroad. But when asked whether they preferred life under Saddam, the dictator who was executed last December, or under Nouri al-Maliki, the prime minister, most replied that things were better for them today.

Only 27% think there is a civil war in Iraq, compared with 61% who do not, according to the survey carried out last month.

The whole idea of anti-Americanism just boggles my mind. Are people really that inept??? After reading newspapers like: the Guardian, the Sun, the Star, the Independent, and the Daily Mirror......I would have to say that they are.The United States of America is the greatest country ever to grace the face of the planet, yet we are mocked, ridiculed and hated around the globe for reasons that mount to nothing more than pure, unadulterated jeolousy. The British, Romans, THE ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST, and Hitler all ruled, (and are rulling in the case of the M.E) with an IRON fist. Combined they killed 100's of millions of people yet have the ordasity to critisize the U.S.A for its JUSTIFIED RESPONSES to terrorist attacks, which have plagued our nation scince its conception in 1776. I defy anyone to name a country that has played the role of the "benign superpower", when the power was in their hands, as the United States of America has. WHO??? The fact that we didn't turn the entire M.E into

I'd like to ask does anyone have information on countries that built walls (similar to what they are proposing for the U.S. Mexican border) that did not work?

I know I have read this information before and I am now looking to be able to cite my facts.

Do not give answers that do not address the question. If anyone posts anti-immigration answers I will flag for not answering the question I asked (violation of terms).

I cannot totally dismiss people on the right ,for example, someone said to me that Lenin talked about a workers revolution but never actually did any work himself but probably stayed in a room writing about how things should be. Also, if the trade unions didn't like the way certain industries were run why didn't they use the funds to set up businesess and run them they way they should be run. Your thoughts please.
