I'm not quite sure what your asking, so I'll answer what I *think* you're asking.

I *think* you're asking whether burning a flag is an effective form of political speech, and whether banning flag burning is a worthwhile thing to do.

The short answer to both questions is no.

Burning a flag, in my opinion, is not an effective form of political speech because it merely offends those who don't already agree with you, thus it convinces nobody of the merits of your position.

Also, it is absolutely silly to get all worked up about it and try to get a Constitutional amendment to ban flag burning. By giving it that much attention you merely give those who burn flags more publicity for their crackpot positions.

Also, also, the arguments for a flag burning amendment are weak, to say the least. Of course it's political speech. Of course it should be allowed under the 1st amendment. Why can't people take a moment and think about things before reacting emotionally?

Burning a flag does not take much political courage, as it shouldn't since it is a matter of free speech, protected in the Constitution.
