It seems she only wants to believe in what she wants to believe. Has she ever travelled out of the borders of the USA before? it appears not or at least read up on other countries and other faiths.

At the moment, many nations are helping a small percentage of the world's poor and oppressed to escape to a better life. Currently the system works for those people who have the means and the ability to actually get to one of these nations so they can be accepted as refugees or asylum seekers. But what about the rest - many of whom are the most ill or just too poor to get the money together to fund their escape route? Should the developed nations not have a more active policy of providing safe, funded passage for those who most need it?

Canadian disabled girl in love with an American - how can he legally come over here withOUT me sponsoring him (since I am disqualified as I am disabled on dialysis). He said it will cost $10,000 and there is no way NEITHER of us can get THAT kind of money! We both have NO records! Why are they making it so hard! THey say it will take up to 10 years as well! What the heck?? And no sites are being helpful! We don't know what to do! They also say that once he is here he is not allowed to work for 3 years! How will he pay for living expenses?? They say for me to go there instead all I have to do is marry him but then that would force me to go on Medicaid! How does THAT make any sense when Ontario has FREE HEALTH CARE!?!?!? Of course if I do go on Medicaid .. at least he has a house .. and job .. I have .. nothing .. only free health care! But we both decided Canada would be better! Please! ANY help and links appreaciated!! Aldso I have a site www.angieskidney.com if you want to say more!

This is from the AP article, 'RIAA tells students: Pay up for downloads': "The music industry is asking 50 Ohio University students to pay $3,000 each to avoid lawsuits accusing them of pirating songs off the Internet."

That sounds like a form of extortion to me (not a law student). The assumption exists that the students illegally downloaded music but that cannot be properly ascertained outside a court of law, correct? Any thoughts?

I am a 32 year old undergraduate student. Am I too old to even attempt trying? Or should I hope a graduate chapter invites me later on?

I'm not asking which is the best, but I've heard several people say paras are more mentally tough than marines, what do they mean by that? Do paras get special training to mentally prepare them for war? also are they as fit as a marine would be? I've also heard people say paras are more elite than marines, but marines are commandos so I don't know what they're talking about

I've wanted to join the marines for a while now, but I'm also looking at the paras, I don't know which would be best for me so some info would be appreciated here

thanks

My very first question was supported by 2 informal answers, except for one. I was judged by someone other than GOD. I have no regrets for anything I have ever done! I am human and have made mistakes. JUST AS WE ALL HAVE! Most people that know me are responsible law abiding people that know me and respect me. I do not try not to judge others because it's not fair, but I'd like to know how someone could be full of answers, but have no questions? It's like there has to be a balance. You just can't know it all!!

How come a country -- a flagship and an ace supporter of human and civil rights keeps supporting those who have been killing the innocent civilians for over four decades ?... been defying all types of UN Resolution and creating a state based on Religion .... after 911 those activities are taking place in a faster pace ...with Helicopters & Bulldozers ... was 911 a pre-planned conspiracy?

My history teacher started this conversation which lead to an argument of the whole class. Is America divided and why? Many blamed President Bush for the Iraq war, and we mention not being liked by other countries and being dumped all together with him. People don't agree inside the country or outside. The state i live in is Republican,a nd more than half disagree with him, but we came to the conclusion that it was ironic and heroic on how more than half of the world critiques him and even his own party, like more than 60% of US citizens dont agree , he has gotten the lowest rating any president in US history has ever gotten but still keeps his shin up and stands for what he is doing, and doesnt back down. What you think? I havent made up my mind about him, I don't dislike him him, But i think he should do or worry about America's other needs, like more about Medical aid for Americans, cause "Damn" it's expensive to get sick here. and that stupid wall over the Mexican Border....

I was an avid fan of CNN . . . big time ! I love being informed and up to date on current affairs, so watching CNN was a past-time for me .
THEN, along came FoxNews. . .. . I was accustomed to watching CNN, but every once in awhile, I'd switch back and forth, just to see what each were reporting . And then the discrepancies began to reveal themselves . It became easy to notice that CNN had NOT been telling the whole story, and this really pissed me off,. . . .. .I had placed my trust, MY TRUST, in a network who had blatantly been hiding the other half of the story. . . CNN !!
Now, I also realize that Fox is slanted to the right, but at least they tell the whole story and then I can discern whether I agree or not !!!

Do the Liberals realize that most FoxNews viewers are former CNN fans, but left jaded after being lied to ?
