My history teacher started this conversation which lead to an argument of the whole class. Is America divided and why? Many blamed President Bush for the Iraq war, and we mention not being liked by other countries and being dumped all together with him. People don't agree inside the country or outside. The state i live in is Republican,a nd more than half disagree with him, but we came to the conclusion that it was ironic and heroic on how more than half of the world critiques him and even his own party, like more than 60% of US citizens dont agree , he has gotten the lowest rating any president in US history has ever gotten but still keeps his shin up and stands for what he is doing, and doesnt back down. What you think? I havent made up my mind about him, I don't dislike him him, But i think he should do or worry about America's other needs, like more about Medical aid for Americans, cause "Damn" it's expensive to get sick here. and that stupid wall over the Mexican Border....

I have never seen an American president in my whole life that has done so many bad things. He has turned what was a 80% approval rating after 9/11 into a 72% disapproval rating now. I don't like what he has done to this country. I am 61 years old. That's a lot of presidents and this is the worst.

America divided is NOTHING new. As long as we have a government by the people for the people, AMerica is going to be divided. There are as many political issues as there are people who have an opinion. Everyone who didn't vote for Clinton bellyached for 8 (painfully) long years. Heck, I was one of the bellyachers! And that's how it has always been every election. If America was ALWAYS united in everything, we wouldn't even NEED elections, as we'd all agree on one candidate and on what was important.

Don't let your teacher lead you astray. Do your history homework. Not only is America divided, not only has it ALWAYS been divided, but it would be a very UNHEALTHY country if it were NOT divided, especially from a political standpoint.

Every time a candidate loses an election, the losing candidate's supporters are going to wail, bellyache, and complain. It's the American way.

Yes, America is divided, and probably always will be. There are too many problems to deal with and too many people to try to please. You can't please everybody, so you do what you think is best. You can't run your life by polls, honestly, I don't know anyone who has ever been surveyed for a poll, not one. Bush just happened to be president when terrorists decided to attack our country, not a good place to be in and I doubt that many would have wanted to be in his position at the time..The president has access to intelligence and information that none of us do. He isn't in this to win some popluarity contest, he is standing up for what he truly believes in the face of a lot of adversity. Too many people just mindlessly agree with what popluar opinion is at that moment and that is how they form their opinions, just a follow the crowd mentality. It's nice to see that your teacher welcomes debate about this in your class, and also that you are keeping an open mind and willing to listen and learn and form your own opinions based on the information you hear from both sides of an argument. Always defend what you really believe in, but keep that open mind..

yes America is divided and will be until she falls, which Idon't think will be very long in coming, the Zionist will keep our people divided so they can steal and manipulate us especially our political system who will bow down to them
and also give them our hard earned money we need to feed our family's they keep us in a war and turmoil all of the time so we are so busy fighting among our selves we don't see what they are doing, and yes Mr, Bush is partly to blame as he has did every thing the Zionist wanted him to do including going to war against Iraq and getting rid of their worst enemy, but there is one problem , if he did go against the Zionist he would have been impeached by now nor even elected in the first place, the same applies to our congressmen and Senate,so really do they have a choice unless, our people drive them out as they did in England in the past? and look at what they did to Germany,
