i am planning on marrying my fiance ealry 2008, we have been thinking bout getting married in Tahiti, does marrying out of australia or america make it harder to live leggally in either country?

no youll be a citizen of both australia and america. it doesnt matter where you get married.

Other than declaring each other upon either soil, and proof of marriage certificate, passports and other ID. Not that I'm aware of. But since this isn't taking place for a while yet, why not check with each countries government websites and have them answer your concern.

And actually it does matter where you are married. As Australia or USA for that matter - might not acknowledge the marriage as legal in their own countries.

Australian immigration laws are very strict when it comes to marriage. To come to Australia, you will have to declare where the marriage has taken place, and complete the forms appropriate to if the partner is currently inside or outside of Australia.

Best place to find the facts is the Department of Immigration and Citzenship website - DIMA or DICA.
