I know that coming up with an exact number is impossible, but a ballpark estimate (from an index, inventory of organizations...) would be very useful!

With the common portrayal that George W. Bush is a moron, Justice Clarence Thomas is a dim-witted lap dog for Justice Scalia and Dan Quayle is also a dunce, are there any prominent Liberals or Democratic leaders that are commonly portrayed as stupid?

Now, this is not a forum argue the intelligence of the three persons I have cited, because with the exception of Thomas, the other two have said things that make them sound not so smart. But it's ridiculous to think that there are no Liberals/Democratic leaders who have said equally inane things. Yet, I can't think of a single one who the news/opinion media portrays as an imbecile.

If you can think of any, please post them here. Thank you.

Having spent several months in the US capitol as an engineer, I was shocked at how a modern government tries to function in such an outdated, overcrowded and isolated environment. The first thing a modern company does when it can afford to do so is to move into a new building in a better location. If we want the Federal government to change, we should build a new capitol in a better location that would be dedicated to the buisness of government for the people and by the people. The old capitol would still be a great tourist attraction since most of the buildings are already museums.

Bill Gates and Waren Buffet are giving almost all of their fortunes to charity to avoid spoiling their children. They are both in favor of an increase in the estate tax. This will ensure only the best and brightest rise to the top.
Should people like Paris Hilton and George W. Bush continue control the power in this country or should the most intelligent and qualified individuals do so?

i am working on my mid-term paper. and i need some direction. this is the assignment
You are a paralegal working for the law firm of Lawyers R Us. Mr. Robb, your supervising attorney, asks you to interview his client, Mrs. Smith, to get some simple background information and names of possible witnesses in her case. Mrs. Smith has been charged with shoplifting. You begin to interview her when Mrs. Smith suddenly blurts out, “I did it, I stole the Versace dress from Saks 5th Avenue.” She then says, “I saw a great pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes that would go great with the dress, I think I’ll go back tomorrow and steal them too.” Right after she makes this startling confession, she tells you not to tell Mr. Robb.

Based on this hypothetical case scenario, write a paper detailing your answers to the following questions:

What should you do?
Do you tell Mr. Robb that she has admitted committing the crime?
Is Mr. Robb, or you, then obligated to tell the authorities that she has committed the crime?
Should either of you tell the authorities that she is planning to commit a new crime?
Can Mr. Robb continue representing Mrs. Smith even though he knows she is guilty?
Could you or Mr. Robb be required to testify in court during Mrs. Smith’s shoplifting trial about the information you have learned?
What ethical rule(s) apply in this situation?
