If he is, what does the fact that he is a mason have to do with anything.

More sordid details about the poor care the Bush Defense Department gives to US troops. I don't think being a Freemason fits into this equation.

I'm not sure if he is a Free Mason, but I do know he is now unemployed; however, he may get an executive position at Halliburton in the near future.
