With the common portrayal that George W. Bush is a moron, Justice Clarence Thomas is a dim-witted lap dog for Justice Scalia and Dan Quayle is also a dunce, are there any prominent Liberals or Democratic leaders that are commonly portrayed as stupid?

Now, this is not a forum argue the intelligence of the three persons I have cited, because with the exception of Thomas, the other two have said things that make them sound not so smart. But it's ridiculous to think that there are no Liberals/Democratic leaders who have said equally inane things. Yet, I can't think of a single one who the news/opinion media portrays as an imbecile.

If you can think of any, please post them here. Thank you.

Now, I know some of you personally think specific Liberals are stupid, but can you give any examples of such a widespead perceptions of a Liberal being associated with stupidity such as Bush or Quayle? For instance, is there a news article, editorial, political cartoon or satire that portrays a Liberal as having less than average intelligence? Thanks.

Clinton, Carter, Kerry, Edwards, Kennedy, Obama, Pelosi, et al... have had aspects of their lives or character drawn into question, but they are still pretty much regarded as intelligent people.

The reason that liberals are not portrayed as stupid is because the entire media is liberal! And when the TV says that someone is stupid everyone believes it. If you believe your TV, you believe everything. And yes, George Bush may not be a genius but it's a good thing because brilliant people usually screw up as president. Many people put Jimmy Carter as a stupid liberal when in truth he was too smart for his own good. You have to have common sense to do a good job, otherwise you get an ego and try to do everything yourself.

Bill Clinton never served in any part of the millitary before becoming commander in cheif. His first promise to the millitary was to allow gays to serve because he felt it was unfair to exclude gay men. Had he any sence he would have known that the millitary is not a democracy, it's a dictatorship, and not everyone has rights. Gays didn't serve because men live in close quarters and it would be awkward to sleep with a man that found you attractive. In the end, they simpily stoped asking men if they were gay and let everyone serve.

The millitary is not a place of freedom, you are told what to do and when to do it. Because of the men and women fighting for us, we can live in a free and safe place.

The media and liberals would say this.

We need to bring our troops home and hope that the terrorists won't hurt us anymore. I'm sure we could work out an agreement. They're just misunderstood.

I need to stop before I write an essay on why liberals are stupid communists.

It's almost amusing that most of our politicians are as stupid as they are. I get a kick out of it. Where can i find a poll that asks how many politicians were once "used car salesmen"? By the way- the bickering that happened between Hillary and Obama regarding someone's donation really put the seal of approval on how stupid they are.

Mark, I don't know how you evaluate, what is stupid. My evaluation is Hillary never fails to say something STUPID, everytime she speaks in public. I can only imagine what an imbosile she is when she dosn't have to worry about her image. You can tell by the way she looks around the room for acceptance everytime she says something that might be controversal. She's an idiot.

Jefferson Davis was portrayed as a dumbass. In popular culture, though, dems and libs are portrayed as being whiny or weak than anything else. Like how Joe Lieberman was made fun of for being a sore loser and running as an independent, or how people joked that John Edwards and John Kerry were gay lovers. Also, Howard Dean gets made fun of a lot, and it's pretty well established that John Kerry is a wooden, incompetent buffoon.

The media went after Dean and Kerry on some of their gaffs. Besides if the shoe fits one should wear it.

Of course there are; however, they have some how brainwashed the public into believing that they are always right and the rest of us are always wrong.

Lets name some... well, I suppose Al Gore is out; after all, he invented the internet!

Then of course if you go to Hollywood you can find plenty of stupid liberal actresses/actors spouting off with some dumb crap...

Then we have the almighty Sean Penn, saying on live TV that "if you don't want to pay police or teachers or pay for health care with your taxes the you should just join effin' al-Qaeda."

Then we have all of the computer nerds who think George Bush blew up the World Trade Centers...

There is Jesse Jackson saying a Jehovah's Witness is a traditional Christian...

There's Maher:

"When people say to me, 'You hate America,' I don't hate America. I love America. I am just embarrassed that it has been taken over by people like evangelicals, by people who do not believe in science and rationality. It is the 21st century. And I will tell you, my friend. The future does not belong to the evangelicals. The future does not belong to religion."

Maher will continue to be able to have shows because of his incoherent, far-left, out-of-the-mainstream political rants that Hollywood just loves. His audience will consist of just the like-minded but he will not have any positive effect on our culture or politics.

"I think it will be hugely successful," said D.A. Pennebaker, veteran documentary director whose films include the Oscar-nominated 1992 election campaign saga "The War Room," which he made with Chris Hegedus. "It's going to get a lot of publicity, and this country is really in the mood for somebody to tell 'em what they should think, what to do."

NICE! You stupid people. Don't you know that Hollywood knows what you should think and do?

The smooth Ted Kennedy:

"Shamefully, we now learn that Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management: U.S. management."

What a jerk! Yes, this whole humiliation of prisoners is gross and disgusting but Manslaughter Kennedy has just indicted our whole country. Again, what a jerk!

"I sincerely did not mean to offend Secretary Noriega or anyone in the room. Rather, my comments, as they relate to 'white men,' were aimed at the policies of the Bush administration as they pertain to Haiti, which I do consider to be racist," Brown said in a statement on Thursday.

Even in her apology she still plays the race card. Look Rep. Brown, just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make someone a racist. Of course, nobody but Fox reports it. Some conservative makes a moronic comment like this & the media would force them out.

There is an article by Robert Kennedy about Bush and the environment. The title is "Crimes Against Nature" . In just skimming some of it it's just Kennedy absolutely losing it. It's quite odd reading someone's meltdown. We are back to Republican's want to pollute the air and water and blah, blah, blah. It's funny how Mr. Kennedy has all this inside information. Dude, quit using Michael Moore and Al Franken as your sources. Now, Mr. Kennedy, how much money have you made from your non-profit energy company?

Then we have the typical liberal who says
"Bush = Hitler"
Every time I see a hippie-wannabe waving a sign saying this ridiculous statement, I have to wonder: if Bush were really Hitler, punks like this would be in a concentration camp faster than you could wave a bar of lye soap in his face.

"Bush is stupid but he’s stolen two elections"
No liberal has ever been able to explain how Bush could possibly be simultaneously stupider than a bag of doorknobs yet so wickedly brilliant that he stole two elections and tricked the whole world into war in Iraq. Or that he is dumber than a stack of bricks yet he tricked the country into believing that 19 Muslim wackos brought down the World Trade Center and attacked the Pentagon and Flight 93, all without anyone discovering the intricate plot beforehand.

'Bush is “incurious”'
One of the things that really burns my butt about the Bush era is the brainless liberal charge Bush is “intellectually incurious.” But I wonder: how many of our elected Democrats—and even some Republicans—even understood what just is happening in Iraq? How many whiney liberals truly understand military strategy and tactics and could go toe to toe with Gen. Petraeus on the subject?

Probably not even one.

"Liberals are tolerant, conservatives hate free speech"
Ridiculous. The opposite is true. Liberals are the ones who shout conservatives off of stages, or throw stuff at them, or stage loud protests designed to intimidate them into not appearing or speaking. Liberals are the ones that believe that certain people don’t deserve the right to speak if liberals deem the message “illegitimate.”

Remember, 99% of the time a liberal is doing the very thing he is accusing you of doing.

College professors - a whole bunch of them
and on and on and on

Some are real good speakers, although they speak garbage, others are garbage, but they can give a good speech.

And, I guess you would have to be on the list since you are gullible.

Al Gore. Every time he's allowed to speak on TV the media is allowing him to be stupid.

OK, think about your premise...the media hasn't portrayed any Liberal as an imbecile. Wouldn't that be because the media is itself liberal and therefore loathe to pillory one of their own? It would be against their own self-interest to point out the incredibly stupid actions of the very people they both support and are supported by. Its really almost incestuous, but Liberals don't really have a problem with that either, do they?
