Some of the voting on answers to political questions would suggest that a slight majority of Yahoo answers users are republican pro bush, pro war, neo con sympathisers.

Example :
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkWGFE9nXcuAdFcGFU1kUXfpy6IX?qid=20070225170327AAErCsL

Is this a true reflection of the Yahoo answers community or is it merely a personification of the old addage that evil prospers when good men do nothing?

they do it all the time, and use their questions to attack others, then boast about reporting others whom they dont like. they got 4 friends in 3 days, so why can they violate tos? Its like beachbum answering only old questions and then having her alternate accounts vote for her for best answers its all a scam

Earlier today, I asked a question with regard to what is supposed to happen with regard to the insurgents when the U.S. pulls out of Iraq. Someone who said they were a conservative posted something like, "Don't you read the news? 12 people were kidnapped today."

Why is it that, when liberals bring up facts like this to point out the shortcomings of Bush's war, they're told that they're lying, or empowering the enemy, and yet, when a conservative does it to support his or her point, it's totally okay to mention the kidnappings and murders and death tolls?

Why the double standard, conservatives?

The conservative who answers honestly will be chosen as the best answer. I'm tired of rhetoric. Just be honest. Liberals - I already know that you agree cons are hypocrites. I want to hear from THEM.

Earned ---$100.00
Income tax---$25.00
fuel tax---
utilities---
pack of cigs.----$6.00
2 beer---$2.00
all tax included services
property taxes / rent----
dog tags, registration, vet.--
enviroment taxes, fees---
credit cards, interest---
etc.

Depending on how long that bill stays in circulation , I'm estimating3 years, that $100.00 that i earned ended up making the government upwards of tens of thousands of dollars in taxes.

One more bit of FYI:
The Gov. of Canada brought in Income taxes as a way to pay for the war bills. As with the GST, It was indicated ,or assumed, that it would only last till it was paid for. What is that? 2 or 3 generations ago ? The GST was created to pay off the national debt. What? 10 / 20 years? O.K. We owe just as much today as we did then. The solution? Fire all the creative, imaginative accountants. Create an agency to take over the pay downs of thoes 2 debts. Make all government departments work within their pre-approved budgets.

I am not trying to seek any "pain and suffering" damages. Only medical bills. There was a sugar spill in the grocery store. I slipped, sprained my ankle, cut on my knee, and left sciattica nerve damage to the left side of my back. The grocery store has denied any liability or negligence. What should I do? Small claims may get my medical bills paid but I am afraid of even taking it there. They are a big company and I have called around 18 lawyers. None of them want the case. Hard to prove they say. Can anyone give me any advice?

The DOD web site has all the statistics. West Texas and Montana have the highest per capita. But those areas are sparsly populated.

California leads by far with the most per state. And San Diego County has the highest number of casualities of any one City or County in America.

It is not the disinfranchised Urban dwelers that are caught up in this, as often reported. It is America's working poor. Not just RedsStaters but all across America people with little or no local oppertunity.

I find this very humerous. I asked a question about giuliani...if he is starting to flip flop. I got around 7 answers, not even from repubs. Normally you guys are swarming all over the place, so where did ya go? Oh wait, I know. You guys keep saying that you work during the day, that's why you're not answering. No wait, that can't be right either. I mean I just saw you guys swarming a minute ago. What's up?

My brother is in a new real relationship and his fiancee is 8 months pregnant. His fiancee keeps getting Private calls from what we think is my brothers ex saying lay off my guy and getting threats. Would filling a police report do anything? Would they have access to phone records to see where these calls are coming from?

Shortly after 9/11, President George W. Bush vowed to fight the war against terror throughout the world. He asked allied countries for support in fighting this war, including Muslim countries in the Middle East/Gulf area. Six years on, the war against terror is not waning. Are those countries that supported the war effort still with America? What can America do to ensure the continued support?

You really don't need to look any further than our newspapers, blogs, television and yahoo answers to find plenty of vitriolic pure unbridled hate for others who simply have different solutions to the same problems. I hope you can forgive me for that run-on sentence. My passion for this problem is enough to distort my ability to think, and in this case communicate. That brings me to the central problem:

Passion can be a good or bad thing, depending on how and in which direction it is channeled. Partisanship is an example of passion being channeled in a negative way.

What can we do to alleviate this problem and restore our modern society to better health?
