well, it depends on how you look at it...
there are those that would not care, there are those who'd be very upset, but at the end of the day, what right do i have to tell someone what to do with their body?
i dont support abortion, but i dont condemn it, because its not my place to judge something like that. i dont feel that it should be used as a birth control method, but there are cases of rape, incest, mortal risk of the mother, babies being born with no medical chance of survival.... etc.
look at it this way, smoking is proven to be very harmful, too much mcdonalds is harmful, alcohol is very damaging to drink, none of them are illegal though.... so, even though they're bad for you, what right do any of us have to take away something like those? what gives someone the right to make choices for another?
that said, i dont feel abortion is justified other than the most dire of situations, but all the religious types that say its murder and against god, etc.... god also said that only he was allowed to judge others, its a sin otherwise.
LMAO..... "condoms for teens"............. now, lets say your kid was told not to ride a motorcycle, but he did anyways... wouldnt you want him to wear a helmet and some padding? well, if a kid is going to have sex, he might as well wear a condom, dont you think?
and by the way, any kid can get a box of condoms from any store for about $4.00, so.... is this really an issue?

Are you kidding?! Abortion is probably the single most inflammatory issue in American politics. Of course Americans would care!
Most conservatives would be happy, but a significant portion would be beyond happy. They'd be ecstatic! You'd see almost immediate moves in state legislatures to criminalize abortion. (In fact, many conservative states already have "trigger laws" on the books that are designed to take effect immediately if Roe v Wade is ever overturned.)
At the same time, you'd see a lot of indignation on the left. Just like with conservatives, most liberals would be upset, with a smaller but still significant number that would be enraged. You'd see protests, attempted legal challenges, and probably a few abortion providers refusing to discontinue their practice, allowing themselves to be sent to jail as an act of political protest.
For an analogy, look at the firestorm that erupted when Roe v Wade was first decided.

Many people would care, but a lot of folks don't understand what would actually happen if it were overturned.
If Roe v Wade was to be overturned, it would not make abortion illegal. What would happen is that states could once again impose restrictions (or even bans) on abortion. Whether or not that would happen in any given area would depend on the political and social climate of that state.

Overturning Roe v Wade would open the door to all kinds of government interference in your private life. Do you really want the government to make your medical decisions for you?

One would hope that they'd be relieved that this Constitutional abomination was overturned, and this decision reverted back to where it had been - in the states' legislatures.
It was a despicable and unwarranted usurpation of power that led this activist court to decide there were magical emanations, penumbras and auras in the Constitution that made abortion legal, something the people who wrote the Constitution must have missed (LOL!).
Let the people and the states decide their own affairs - the federal government never should have made this their business.

Well, as I'm a Californian... it wouldn't affect ME that much. My liberal state would legalize abortion the next possible moment.
I WOULD care though, because it would finally set precedent for the courts to STOP legislating from the bench.
It would put THAT sort of legal issue BACK in the hands of "the various states" as the Constitution where it is supposed to be.

Actually it wouldn't bother me. Until I hear on the news about the numbers of just borns being dumped in the river, thrown in the trash, about the number of welfare cases skyrocketing. We have this crap going on now with abortion being legal.

Many would...many wouldn't...I for one would be happy....I know there are times when abortion would be ok...like rape or when the mothers life is at serious risk....but for people who just want an abortion because they didn't use a condom or had the condom break....but consentually had sex....you shouldn't be able to use abortion as a form of birth control....

I think most would. I'd be happy, as would every American that believes in the seperation of powers. Liberals would go nuclear.
